The best restaurants serving Chinese food in Western NI

this place is great for food the portions are big and the food good pity it aint sit in but i never have had bad food from here

My family had a night out, 13 of us went to Rainbow. The young girl who took the order done her best but there were too many extra sides and 2 main meals too many. It was the next day I realised that I had been seriously over charged for mains and sides that we didn't order. I called in to the restaurant when it was quiet and approached staff to discuss the order (in a pleasant appraoch) and was quite rudely told by a middle aged female member of staff that the extra food was left on the table and so it must be paid for. My wife ordered an extra "portion of chicken" which they charged us for "a chicken curry with no veg or curry sauce" (most expensive side I've ever paid for), they also brought out an extra chicken fried rice main meal which nobody ordered and supposedly left it on the table. I explained that we ordered 8 main adult meals and there were 10 main meals on the order. The lady was dismissive and rude and basically told me that the food order on the reciept was provided and she fully supported that the "extra portion of dry chicken" was okay to be charged as "A chicken Curry with no Veg or curry sauce" (shocking) . There was also extra portions of chips and 2 extra portions of curry to the table that we didn't order which they kindly added to my bill.. there was loads of extra food left (that we didn't order).. The ladies attitude was terrible and after getting nowhere talking I said that I will not be back and she replied smartly "OKAY - BYE".. As for the food, it was greasy as hell. the floor was slippy with grease. Lesson learned - Neither me or my family will ever step foot in the place again. As for the owners, have a word with the staff about customer service, maybe teach the older lady member of staff some customer care. Advice - stand clear.

First time trying Riceway tonight. Awful. So disappointed. Went in the bin!

Terrible service, ie grunts instead of interaction .” Do you want a drink “ before we’ve even sat down . Requested Canton style beef , received beef , black bean ( meat tough as old boots . Green Thai curry , hot as a Vindaloo . This is not a hot dish . Cold noodles . Asked fleetingly by a passing waiter “ all okay “ to which I stated “ not really “ but ignored . Asked at the desk to which I was instructed to pay for this so called meal . I stated to the poor barman , pretty shabby . I wonder as to any authenticity to this restaurant and given I frequent China Town in Manchester I think I’m aware of good real Chinese food and this place certainly isn’t providing it , apart from its terrible service.

Absolute terrible service , abominable food not authentic Chinese whatsoever , overpriced for the utter nonsense served . Stay clear or even better find a real Chinese restaurant !

Horrendous, the food was 20 minutes over what we were advised but no big deal at this time of year HOWEVER! When it arrived one of the orders was wrong, all three were congealed like they'd been lying around for a good while before being sent out. They charged £8 each for three specials the first two practically inedible and were dumped the third one after eating two thirds I discovered a piece of slate/tile/stone whatever the hell it was is not intended to be in food whatsoever. First and absolute last time I ever order food from here seriously folks don't waste your money 🤬

Have been a customer for years and have allways had great food. Until recently. Had food from here tonight. It was evident that the recipe or the chef has changed as well as their ingredients. Food was cold, portion was incredibly small. Rang to discuss and we spoke with an unidentified person who was quite pleasant and offered the cost of our next meal to be reduced by the cost of tonight's. So maybe next time things will improve. It is also worth noting that ownership has changed within the last year.

Avoid this Chinese the food was mediocre at best and has a 1 star hygiene rating which we didn't realise as we entered and only saw on the way out the young lady serving was pleasant enough though we wish we had tried the other Chinese places along the road

Absolutely poor service! Took forever to come and absolutely stone cold & for the price paid of 60 quid!! Absolutely disgusted!! Have ordered from other chineses in the town with a further distance to travel and never arrived freezing!

Just got a takeaway from here. One of the orders was a Gravy chip with peas. The gravy was so watery, we had to make our own to thicken it up. Chip really undercooked, Peas scarce as well. Rest of order was ok. You shouldn’t have to make up gravy after paying nearly £22. Disappointed.

Ordered a family meal deal and a complete burger and curry dip not included in the bag! Paid £18 and a good chunk of the meal not there!!! No help offered whatsoever on the other end... absolute disgrace...will never go near it again!!!

We have dined in and got takeaway and i can say, I’ve tried something different every time and can not fault anything, wee girl in restaurant is very good, her service is above and beyond, delivery is quicker than time given, a big hands up from us here👏👌

Asked for Gravy, peas and chips with onions from this take out. Normally, other take aways will cook your onions, without you having to ask. These onions were raw. More onions than chips. Portion control bordering on ridiculous. Very small portion in one of their plastic containers. Their portion couldn't justify the price. Places like this should be proving quantity to ensure returning customers.
