Customer facing staff is key to a pleasurable experience stay at any hotel though staff seemed to be demotivated and seemingly reflected that, in my opinion, of the general managers demeanour. Never had such a cold reception…. anywhere! Shame. Food nice enough as was accommodation. Sadly to add, my car which was parked overnight and was subjected by those who insist on wearing hoodies in the twilight hours collecting car badges by the use of screwdrivers! Not the fault of the hotel but just added to the forgettable experience. Choice is always yours!

Went out for breakfast as a group of 5. Firstly I will say it’s very cheaply priced. £10 for a full breakfast and chips including tea or coffee so normally I would chalk it up to you get what you pay for but it really would be better to charge a couple of quid more or knock off the chips to be able to offer a better standard. Very small, incredibly cheap sausage (it made ASDA smart priced sausages seem gourmet) a scraggy bit of bacon more fat than meat, a small spoon full of beans served in plastic pots. I ordered with no tomato but got no fried bread or black pudding. Another of our party asked for no black pudding and got no toast, another ordered full breakfast and got no hash browns so whoever was in the kitchen was pretty hopeless (we were the only ones in eating so it wasn’t busy) Like I said it’s very cheap in price but next time I’ll opt for going elsewhere even if I have to pay a little bit extra.
