The best restaurants serving British food in Llanystumdwy Gwynedd North Wales

Disappointing - if you’ve got a dog be prepared to sit in the shed out the back. Have to buy a drink in the ‘proper pub’ and carry it out in the rain to the area out the back. Never seen this before in the UK (or Europe) and we’ve done a lot of travelling in the last 7 years. We’re from Australia which isn’t so dog friendly so we’re really shocked. Having run a pub for 3 years in North Somerset we found you’re more likely to have problems with kids than dogs. And I had 4 children. Chose our BnB stay because this pub was nearby and in walking distance. Need to warn people the Airbnb site.

Was ever so slightly dubious about visiting this place after reading some negative reviews (anti English speaking comments mostly), couldn't be further from the truth, spent an afternoon there, and found other guests to be more than welcoming, really admired the owners for resurrecting this pub (and shop and airbnb), especially impressed with Meinwen who was chatty, witty, welcoming and informative, will certainly visit again.

Wat een droevige organisatie. Wij dachten hier te gaan eten. Dan moet je telefonisch reserveren. Gedurende de dag zes keer gebeld. Krijg antwoord apparaat dat ze dinsdag weer bereikbaar zijn. Maar het is vandaag dinsdag….

Some of the best fish and chips we've had anywhere. Cooked fresh to order, and very tasty. Staff were very friendly, chatty and polite. Would highly recommend.
