The best restaurants serving British food in Eggborough Selby Yorkshire and The Humber

What a great find. We live within the local area and decided with friends to go out for dinner and drinks. Trying to get taxis in our village is always difficult unless pre booking. The Sloop Inn solved this problem for us as we both have camper/motorhome so picked here as we could park up for the night. Lively atmosphere and the food was proper pub food. Tasty perfectly cooked and amazing service. The lady serving was so friendly and welcoming we will definitely be returning. Great pub great food and an amazing sleep in our motorhome.

We were allowed to park overnight in our motorhome in their lovely field. The pub is very warm and friendly ,chatty locals, child and dog friendly. There is a nice enclosed field for the dogs and kids to run around in and play area. Will definitely be back and look forward to their new food menu and hearing some live music. Ate here 3 May evening. Two people had fish and chips which were well below average. I had the Chinese beef which was absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't have served it to a dog!!! The beef was cut in huge chunks which was tough. Even the onions in the sauce were dreadful. I should have returned the meal but didn't want to cause a fuss. I have never, in my life, been presented with such awful, inedible food. Whoever the "chef" was last night needs to be sacked. Also, you might be dog friendly but I didn't particularly enjoy your dog being allowed to sit under the table next to ours perhaps waiting for left over food which I wouldn't have even given to "him" as the food wasn't fit to even give to a dog as I said above. There was an awful smell in the pub too. All round, absolutely terrible. Needless to say, we wouldn't put a foot inside this disgusting place ever again.
