The best restaurants serving British food in Cayton Scarborough Yorkshire and The Humber

Was supposed to be carvery but beef was floating in a tray of water along with the gammon. Veges were cold. The Yorkshire pudding however was good. The place was very cold. A fire had just been lit at 1.00 pm. Should of been lit at 10.00 am to warm the place.

We visited to break a journey and were really pleased we found this place. Lovely cafe, really nice freshly made sandwiches. We also loved the shop, so many nice housey things to choose from. We bought cake to take home. It was a shame that we couldn’t sit in the secret garden but it would be lovely on a less rainy day. The cafe is dog friendly too, there is a sign about the resident dogs and they were super friendly, we loved them.

So as I sit here in the dining area. There are 3 under 5 year olds playing lets race with two large labradors all unattended. I think the parents are in the main bar. The guy behind the bar is vaping. The language is business as usual. So no change really with the new management. 🤔

We just had a y carvery each. Meat melted in the mouth and great selection of vegetables. Staff really friendly, the place is spacious and clean.

Food was amazing staff very friendly brilliant place to come with friends would definitely reccomend to family and friends
