We visited to break a journey and were really pleased we found this place. Lovely cafe, really nice freshly made sandwiches. We also loved the shop, so many nice housey things to choose from. We bought cake to take home. It was a shame that we couldn’t sit in the secret garden but it would be lovely on a less rainy day. The cafe is dog friendly too, there is a sign about the resident dogs and they were super friendly, we loved them.

Stayed at the flower of may for a weekend and walked to this pub. Omg it was terrible , staff rude and unhelpful, can’t believe how bad the food was and the following day my wife had a stomach upset, flies everywhere and it wasn’t busy so food had been stood and was inedible. I left mine and wife left most of hers. Can’t recommend and I’m surprised they are still in business, chatted in the bar up on caravan site and apparantly it has new owners and mostly people are giving it a wide berth. I can understand why.
