The best restaurants serving British food in Sitwell Rotherham Yorkshire and The Humber

This is our second visit - originally found it when we were sent to the doctors practice next door and today had a Birthday breakfast. Great soft poached eggs on toast. Creamy coffee latte too. Friendly team. Will definitely call again. Appears to be a busy cafe.

All of the family met up for a festive lunch. We had pre ordered food. The food was mediocre at best, it was dry and bland in the most part and we had a range of different meals. A few dishes were burnt and even though we pre ordered the order was wrong for a couple of our party. The service was friendly.

This is part of a chain (Ember pubs) and this review is not a reflection on the brand as a whole. On the day we dined (mid-week lunch), there was only one person dealing with everything - phone, bar, food, waiting on tables etc and he was understandably stressed. Considering this, the food arrived after a reasonable wait. However, the evening/ night after the meal 3 out of the 4 of us had stomach problems with major discomfort and pain. They had not all chosen the same meal. We telephoned the pub twice to leave a number for the manager to get back to us and, had they done so, I would have left it there. However, no-one acknowledged our call and I feel it is not unreasonable to raise this issue in this forum in case others have experienced the same problems. There is clearly an issue with understaffing here and possibly also with food being incorrectly prepared or stored.
