The room was delightful and the bed very comfortable but the food was more than disappointing. Very very limited menu. We were there 3 nights and I had to have asparagus on two nights as nothing else appealed. Chef came up with an extra starter the second night, steak tartare… no ty. (Third night we ate elsewhere) same with main course. Two fish options, pork chop, duck, which we both had to have, or veg option. No steak or chicken . Deserts weren’t appealing and cheese course of Brie was £12! Matt was exceptional and made our stay! So professional and likeable. So eager to please. The owner was around much of the time but found it impossible to be friendly or welcoming although staff were great.

What a fabulous place! A true traditional local pub with real ales and ciders. Easter weekend and a day trip out and only a stones throw from the M5. The village of Burlingham, in Worcestershire is very quaint and has a very welcoming community with several local walks nearby. The Swan is an old black and white Tudor building with thatched roof and manicured garden and lawn where you can choose to eat inside or outside. Dogs are welcome and there’s doggie ice cream for those lovely sunny days when you’re happy to relax in the beautiful English garden. An excellent menu with many fish specialties, we tried the Moules Marinere and Seabream and were not disappointed. Definitely worth a visit for a peaceful and delightful lunch. 5 stars from us!!

arrange a get together with five friends once a quarter if possible and Eckington is an ideal place and for many years we have met at The Bell. Some of us cannot drive now and it is harder to get to Eckington but we still manage as it has always been a friendly venue and the food is excellent and a good choice of menu. The bar area is small but the dining room is large and attractive and tables have a good distance between them. There is always a warm welcome from the lady who I think is the Manager and the staff are very friendly and efficient. We will continue to go to the Bell as long as we are able as we feel we are with very genuine and friendly people and our meals have always been first class.
