Back to the Old Gate at Heathton, after too long an absence. It has a very welcoming atmosphere and helpful staff. There’s usually six real ales on tap. The local Enville ale is worth a go. We ate Cajun Chicken, Lasagne, Steak and Kidney pie and Chicken and Ham pie. Our Granddaughter had a large “child’s Fish and Chips” which demolished. The food was well prepared and presented.

Lovely country pub situated in the Shropshire village of Alverley. Was recommended to check out the Sunday lunch by a friend and The Squirrel didn't disappoint. Great value for money, big portions and generally nice food. Recommended.

A typical Brunning and Price pub, which usually means an old characterful pub and modern food, often with a twist. This fitted the bill perfectly. It's an attractive, light and airy building with several rooms, all inter-connecting but seemingly separate. The Brunning and Price bitter was on really top form and at £4.40 a pint made the Coke seem over-priced at £4. Food was very tasty and, today, shoulder of lamb at £23.95 is not excessive. A very pleasant early evening meal.
