This is a sad review as we learned that the new owners are closing the B and B in August for a indefinite period. We had a great time very welcoming and a great breakfast. Good luck Gerry and Roger.

I stayed nearby for a little solo trip away and popped into here for my Wednesday evening treat. Atmosphere was delightful, staff so friendly, and the food was great - good for veggies too. One of the best pubs i've been to in a long time. The nostalgia of a toilet block separate from the pub building too. Just remember it's cash only.

Just had an amazing 3 Nights at The Temple Bar Inn. Staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for you. We had the Hay On Wye Room which had a king sized bed and a lovely en-suite with bath/Shower. There was also a coffee machine and tea facilities. The food at the pub was excellent especially the Sunday Roasts and Fish and Chips. Great location. Lovely log burner in winter. Would highly recommend.

We had been recommended by friends and were looking forward to a nice drive and a good lunch. Not their fault that there was power cut, however, when eventually the pie and vegetables finally arrived half an hour after we ordered, the entire pie was covered and swimming in thick gravy and any pastry that might have been firm was completely soggy ! Two rounds of large and elderly courgette, some very al dente carrots and broccoli and skin on chips were flaccid and cold. The actual flavour of the pies contents were good but why wouldn’t you serve the gravy in a jug or at least not drown the pastry? When we expressed our disappointment to the two perfectly pleasant staff re the lateness of serving and the coldness of the chips we were met with a blank look and “ well I told you it was going to be late?” Very disappointing.
