Really nice pub! Lovely people and great atmosphere

We stayed 2 nights at the excellent Bell & Crown as we were participating in a course at Stourhead. It was the perfect base. Our room was delightful, with a really nice ensuite. We eat in the pub both nights & had breakfast each morning and the food was very good at every meal. What makes the place are the fantastic staff. They are super friendly and can't do enough for you. This is the perfect example of a country inn doing brilliant work as both a pub & place to stay.

Cold & draughty, fire almost out.. We had to sit with our coats on.. Food was tepid , poor quality & expensive.. Service was poor..

Love this pub it has a lovely feel to it. The staff are really friendly and the food is excellent. There is good choice on the menu if you have dietary requirements. I come regularly for the Sunday carvery which is always a winner for me and my family and bonus is they have the option to take it away.
