The best restaurants serving British food in Central Swindon South West

Even for a non football fan the package is good with a stadium tour, three course meal, half time refreshments and a fantastic group of staff to look after you.

The coffee here is perfect - I have an extra hot oat milk flat white and it was spot on. So good I had another straight after! I also had the avocado on toast which was excellent value. Delicious, crunchy, thinly sliced local sourdough with well seasoned avo served separately so I could serve it up how I like, a really nice touch. Change nothing Darkroom and I’ll be back again and again

Staff were so nice and friendly as usual Ordered our normal drinks and then they came for our order. Food was amazing as usual. My husband had a chicken ticka masala curry with rice and a peshwami naan bread, which looked and was delicious. I had the Garlic Prawns with a side of rice (I have a smaller appetite), absolutely lovely and enough for me.

Visited the Swindon Hub cafe for a craft day. Safe, friendly and helpful new café in Swindon. Local crafts and info point. NIce new place in Swindon to escape, on the Parade.

what a pub should be, no pretence or faux jollity, beer and chat cable of keeping you on your toes always my first stop when visiting swindon

Wonderful evening great atmosphere lovely food and service. Would definitely go again. Clean and great decor. Went in the evening , so couldn't see the sea views obviously but I bet it's lovely views in the daytime

Britania was nice place before but since 4 months ago quality of food decrease . Hot wings not very well cooked , donner kebab had bones and sometimes not very well roasted , kofte was burned. Please change providers and people will be thankful again Update in January. After I saw a positive review from someone I thought the food become like before but I was very disappointed. I bought donner kebab and taste like cardboard and had small cartilage . Sauces decrease as well in quality. Is a miracle because stomach allow that " food " . Waste of money . Update 2024 now they are also scammers . I tried to buy 2 pizza for 14 £ in Monday deal but they want me to pay for 1 pizza and half price for other pizza. They said offer is not available anymore but on their website and their poster from shop is different . Avoid as much possible

Its a lovely looking pub which we have frequented many times in the past (the standard of food has been variable over the years), we were with a party of 4 for evening dinner. Three of the meals were good value for money, the chips were really nice, however one of the meals was described as "Crispy tortilla chips loaded with nacho cheese sauce, guacamole, salsa, sour cream-style sauce, jalapeños and chopped chives.(£8.99)".And at an additional add on "Vegetable Chilli (£4.50)". What came was; a bowl of slop with no vegetable chilli, no real cheese, it was sent back asking for the £4.50 worth of vegetable chilli that wasn't on the plate. On return the dish looked exactly the same and I asked where is the vegetable chilli? the response was; those little brown bits there! (total of about 5 black beans, no vegetables at all!). so consequently it went back again and I was refunded for the meal, leaving me with no dinner as my friends had now finished theirs. (I ate a few chips they had left). I would recommend this food option be removed from the menu or at least provide the meal as described on the menu.
