The best restaurants serving British food in Oakdale Poole South West

Very friendly pub to visit,,excellent service, lovely bar staff, Emily particularly stood out, she was bubbly, friendly, & went out of her way to make us feel at home😊 very satisfied with our visit

Waited to be shown to our table (table prebooked). Waited another 10/15 minutes to be asked if we’d like a drink. Waited nearly half an hour til I got up and went to the bar to enquire where they were. Food served after about an hour. Missing salad which still never arrived after notifying the waitress. Overall, food ok but service was pretty terrible in a restaurant that was not overly busy.

Was quite sceptical after reading the derogatory reviews, but had no need to worry. Picked up two large haddock with chips at the time ordered. Quite delicious fish, one of the best I have eaten. Will definitely return.

Disappointed with choice of hot food for lunch on a chilly cold December . Rolls etc so cold in chiller - soups as usual, so modern unappealing to older people like ourselves. Tasteless beigel , tasteless coffees and the cakes not very exciting. Will not return - will make sure we eat before we get there. Very disappointing.
