The best restaurants serving British food in Oakdale Poole South West

We have just had our wedding reception/party here, the help we got right from the time of booking to the day after our event was excellent. Lovely events room, first class buffet, the whole team who we came into contact with were exceptional. We also hired the in-house disco which was excellent. Our thanks go out to you all for the efforts you put in to make sure our special day was one to be remembered forever. Anyone thinking of staging an event here, we would highly recommend it! Waited to be shown to our table (table prebooked). Waited another 10/15 minutes to be asked if we’d like a drink. Waited nearly half an hour til I got up and went to the bar to enquire where they were. Food served after about an hour. Missing salad which still never arrived after notifying the waitress. Overall, food ok but service was pretty terrible in a restaurant that was not overly busy.

As soon as I cut into the haddock I could smell that it was not fresh. A very pungent smell. My son’s haddock also had a very pungent smell. The chips had obviously been re-cooked . At a cost of £35 for the full 5 meals it can only be described as disgusting . I think that trading standards should make a visit to these premises.

My friend and I went to the cafe today for a coffee but ended up trying the red lentil soup and so glad we did, the best I've had in a very long time. Super friendly and helpful staff too. Will definitely be going back.
