The best restaurants serving British food in Ilfracombe Central North Devon South West

We spent a lovely evening with a large group of friends having a meal here prior to a wedding the following day.

Fabulous service and food. The best fish and chips we have had. Freshly cooked haddock and chips, delicious and a good price.

Dog & Pilot pub, which I presume is attached to the Hotel. Pub: 4* Atmosphere: 4* Service: 4.5* Popped in for a quick beer whilst on a day trip to Ilfracombe. Had a pint of GT Ales 'Pull the Udder one' Milk Stout. A very reasonable £3.60 a pint.

Perfect friendly service, incredibly clean and excellent fresh fish and chips! Being a dog friendly restaurant was also really helpful to us. Highly recommend all round.

Great Pub ! Holidaying in Combe Martin , we caught the bus for a delightful journey to Ilfracombe ( amazing shops on High St , found all our essentials - my Wife had shrunk my sun hat - could only find a suitable replacement in one of the shops in Ilfracombe !) Enjoyed lovely walks on promenade & Harbour. To cap it all , we found the George & Dragon . Staff exceptionally friendly & welcoming. We just had a snack of lovely garlic bread & I enjoyed pints of the gorgeous Exmoor Gold , until Wifey shunted me out. Wonderful pub with nice vibes. Can`t wait for next holiday visit.

Lovely pint of Tim Taylors straight out of the barrel. Super friendly and welcoming Landlord. Glad I stopped in on my way back from the shops.

Nice Hotel staff very friendly the room my wife and I had was sea view with great views breakfast was done fresh with cereal if you wanted it the on down side was the parking £15 a day in car park or 10 mins walk away in a street for free over all a great stay
