Had an icecream board outside so thought lovely, will buy an icecream to have walking along the canal. Asked to buy to take away, got told my order (1 x cone) would get put with the cafe kitchen orders, of which there were four in front of me . . . for an icecream cone! You might want to rethink this Canal Tea Rooms . . .

The Hartnoll is a lovely restaurant for formal dining. We were looked after by the ever courteous and charming Nelson, a ‘proper’ waiter with great skills. My vegan bean burrito was excellent. See you soon!

Found here on a magical mystery drive round the lanes of Devon. Stopped for a bite to eat and drinks the food was lovely nice to see they offered devon red zero cider. Realkt refreshing. The mill also offers lots of things to buy from toys to home furnishing. You can see the mill workings on different levels worth a visit

Been to this place a few times over the years, every time I visit it seems to be under new management. I don’t write many reviews but just wanted to mention what a friendly and well managed pub it seems to be. Very welcoming, comfortable, the fire was lit and the beer well kept. I go to a lot of pubs and enjoy trying out ones I’m less familiar with. This definitely gets my recommendation.

I picked up a takeaway from this little fish and chip shop in Devon and honestly, it was one of the best decisions I’ve made all trip. No frills, no view – just seriously good food done right. The fish was perfectly cooked – light, crispy batter with beautifully fresh, flaky fish inside. It wasn’t greasy at all, just full of flavour and cooked to perfection. You could tell they really know what they’re doing. The chips were just how I like them – thick cut, golden, and crispy on the outside but soft and fluffy in the middle. Everything was still piping hot when I got home, which is always a good sign with takeaway. Even the little things stood out – the portion sizes were generous, the mushy peas were spot on, and the service was really friendly and quick. You can tell they care about quality and keeping their customers happy. If you’re in Devon and want proper, traditional fish and chips that hit the spot, this place is a must. No gimmicks, just amazing food. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area. 5 stars – can’t recommend it enough.

I fail to understand why the cafe staff were unable to make a sandwich for the advertised Childrens boxed lunch today, after all it is only 2xquarters they get in the lunch box therefore they would have 2xquarters spare for the next customer. If you are unable to supply the advertised goods have the decency to remove the POS.
