A great spot with lovely views. More importantly, the team here are really welcoming and friendly; food is tasty, well presented and great value. The perfect dog friendly place to stop and reenergise after a long walk.

A lovely evening organised by the British Legion, sadly let down by the awful food and service. An hours wait to get our main meal, which was just about warm but burnt, and a further 35 minutes to get our desert. The service was slow, the food was burnt and inedible. All this for £25 a head. No thanks. Not going next year.

We have been here many times for coffee and cake and most of the time the cakes seem to be reasonably fresh. Today i had a very dry sponge Mocha cake. Also, whilst eating my cake i watched a member of staff blow his nose in to a tissue 3 or 4 times and without even a thought to washing his hands went straight over to the dresser to get a cake plate to serve a piece of cake to a customer. I think that is disgusting and shows a lack of hygiene which in this day and age is not acceptable.

Never have I ever been greeted with such rudeness. I took my old mum and dad for breakfast and the small plum ‘lady’ who greeted us upon arrival mad us feel totally unwelcome. Never will I ever return.
