I went for an evening meal with a friend we both had a starter and a main course, I had the tom yum seafood soup which was very nice, my friend had spring rolls which he said were also very nice. For the main course I had the monkfish curry which I thought was very bland and really only tasted of coconut, my friend had duck and said it was very tough. We did tell the waiter our thoughts which he said would pass on to the chef. We paid the bill and left a tip which reflected what we thought of the quality of the food. However on returning home I noticed that we had been charged 12 1/2% service charge on top, which I think it totally wrong! It really should be left to the discretion of the customer, if you have had a nice meal and good service then you leave a good tip if not then you might not want to leave a tip at all. I class this as theft! I thought the food was overpriced and certainly not the best thai food I have eaten and with the service charge on top, I certainly won't be returning and would not recommend.

The witch is a lovely pub with good food and great staff. I celebrated my birthday there recently. Everyone was very welcoming and patient, with 17 of us procrastinating over what to have. There were some nice vegan options for myself and my partner and everyone enjoyed there meals. 5 stars 🌟

Went for dinner with friends and although a lovely atmosphere we waited a long time for our order to be taken and for our food orders to arrive. A couple came in and were served much quicker than us and it seems the smaller the party the quicker the meal is cooked and served, which isn’t fair on parties who have arrived earlier. This has happened before when I was in a group of 6 people. We had to ask multiple times about when we were going to get our order and the staff are friendly and pleasant but rushed of their feet. The pub is a nice place to eat, but the restaurant needs a lot of work, the menus quite limiting for those with dietary requirements and the kitchen needs to prioritise the food orders in order of party taken , rather than size of party/ quantity of meals.
