The best restaurants serving British food in Crondall Hart South East

We had a wonderful Sunday roast at The Windmill yesterday. The beef was cooked to perfection and all the trimmings were delicious as was the gravy. And for dessert it was one of my favourite school puddings (see picture) which took me back to my childhood. The service and atmosphere were also excellent. There is also a huge garden and parking was fairly easy too. Highly recommend a visit for the Sunday lunch and the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Best burgers in town! We visited last week for a lovely lunch with the family, and I have to say, it won’t be my last. This was my first time here, and we’ve already booked another table to return for their Sunday roasts! Now, onto the main event—the buttermilk Norfolk chicken burger. It was cooked to perfection, with a wonderfully crunchy crust. The combination of buttermilk chicken, smoky cheese, and streaky bacon was absolute heaven. And those beef dripping chips? A game-changer that paired perfectly with the burger. The service was fantastic too—friendly, efficient, and made the entire experience feel special. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Wow...what a lovely place this is, great staff, great atmosphere and an amazing roast dinner, met some great people in here also, great improvements in the garden and new toilets are so much better when we last visited, great work guys.
