Just popped in with my wife for a cup of tea and a sandwich. Would highly recommend, great sandwich and choice of teas.

You can feed a family of four for £20, and that includes two kids drinks (two beers will bump this to £30 if you're drinking). The meals have vegetables, and they're always done "properly". This makes them cheaper and more nutritious than most options for busy families that don't want to cook for a night. The service is really nice, they're always kind to the kids and they have a collection of toys (naturally, missing a few pieces here and there, but clean) to keep them entertained while waiting for the food. Their beer isn't going to blow you out of the water but standards like speckled hen are on offer and the prices are reasonable. But for families this local is a credit to the community, and has become our default choice for any dinners (and, at the weekend, breakfasts) we don't want to cook.

Have been here twice-the first AND last.Nice enough staff, but food expensive for what it is.Cannot believe the cost of drinks.A pint of Guiness,pt lager and flat white coffee was £16.00.This is a JW Lees pub who, like Holts brewery, are having delusions of grandeur.I can get the same round for approx £9 to £9.50 at 2 pubs that I can think of in my local area.,And the hospitality sector want to know why they are going "belly up".

Rude and impatient staff. Glasses and bottles left on tables downstairs. Empty upstairs. Will not return.
