The best restaurants serving British food in Low Furness South Lakeland North West

Emailed the Inn a couple of days before, as we were a group of 7 walkers ( 8 of us in the end) and a dog. I got a quick reply to say that we were booked and all was in order. -I would definitely advise booking. It was a very busy Sunday lunchtime- One of the group requires 'gluten-free' options and there appeared plenty of choice on the menu. When we arrived, we were given a warm welcome and were shown into a small alcove-side room (I think it was part of the diary palour in its day) It was absolutely perfect for our small group, who were celebrating a few up coming birthdays. But still felt part of the warm pub atmosphere. We ordered drinks & our food requirements were taken, explaining we might have a wee wait as the food was all made fresh. It wasn't long before we received 8 plates of quality & quantity, everyone was happy with their lot, especially my friend who had the best gf fish (in batter) and chips she has had in years. All in all very happy with the food, the service, location, and staff. Would definitely recommend (esp if gf required)

Superb Food, Drink and service. Set in a little village on the North side of Morcambe Bay The Farmers excel at quality. Plenty of choice and some really nice Real Ales. decent car park and good value .

Very good mother's Day lunch. We were a large group. All the food came out together and was delicious. Desserts too were traditional and lovely. Service was polite, and well organised. Only thing I would have preferred is a local beer.

Excellent food, lovely ambience the ham,cheese scone,chutney and toms was amazing!!! Lovely staff a real home from home!
