We happened upon this little gem on our way to Glendale Mobile park . Liked the welcoming inside, staff and the menu. So booked a table gor 6:30pm. Arriving promptly we found they had a lovely way of reserving our table (see photo).. I chose Med Chicken Curry from the Nights Specials curries (see photo) it came with every add on listed .. A good job I am a big lad . My companion hsd the Haddock , garden peas and chips with slices of lemon . It was huge and delicious and very tasty . There were several excellent beers on tap (see photo).. the beer i chose at random was well prepared and delicious. (Real Ale drinkers would enjoy here).. £4 a pint for each beer is a good price. One can immediately tell that the Landlords, Becki and Tom, take great delight in caring about their customers , their food and their beers. One could ask no more of this charming couple - a great Mein Hosts pair. After so many reviews I have written on Trip Advisor this Drovers Rest has come in the Top 3 visited around the world. I highly recommend it to my 6,500+ followers on here . Do NOT miss visiting and eating here if in the area . You will be delighted . As usual, I know no member of staff , and have received no benefits at all for my fair based review. Tom.

I visit this pub about once a month to meet friends. The reason why we go there is the quality of the beer (excellent), the friendly nature of the owner and the cosiness of a genuine country pub. Pies available on a Friday, and the Sunday lunch is not to be missed.

Lovely wee place, with a great atmosphere, friendly staff and locals. Food was tasty and locally sourced. Had a great steak pie and my hubby loved the Macaroni cheese. Good honest hearty pub grub. Staff were very welcoming and considerate with the kids, bringing out a high chair and opening the disabled toilet for changing the wee one (it was nice and clean too). Would definitely recommend if staying nearby and would certainly go back. Forgot to take photos before tucking in so looked much nicer than my photo's but here's a wee couple of pics.
