The best restaurants in Burgh Carlisle North West

We loved the food here and took a take away home too. We stopped for drinks on Saturday, saw the food coming out and booked a table for Sunday lunch immediately . It did not disappoint. Wow, just great! We were intrigued by the home made sausage menu and took a hot dog special home for tea . This guy knows food. Try it out. 10/10

This is an absolute gem. We had drinks on the Saturday , saw the food orders coming out and immediately booked Sunday lunch. It was very good indeed. We also ordered a take out all day hotdog which is the chefs homemade speciality , yes he makes his own sausage! That was fab too. If we’d been staying in the area longer we would definitely come back. The menu was so enticing! Top notch 10/10 Rare to find. Thank you

I visit this pub about once a month to meet friends. The reason why we go there is the quality of the beer (excellent), the friendly nature of the owner and the cosiness of a genuine country pub. Pies available on a Friday, and the Sunday lunch is not to be missed.

Great food and drink, friendly atmosphere

Staff were lovely, particularly the canteen staff. Canteen prices were exorbitant - 8.50 for a very standard tuna mayo baguette isn't sustainable. However the coffee was excellent. In the garden centre there were plants strewn around on the floor but perhaps they were just having a bad day (and no it wasn't particularly windy).
