We had lunch here on Saturday. The food was excellent,. There is a really good food menu with specials on the board and everything we tried (group of 4) was outstanding and really good value for money, given it is in Barnes. The food choices are also different, with faggots, a rarebit, venison and ox cheek all on the menu. The drinks choices are also varied with plenty of quality choices, we had several different beers and a very good bottle of red with our meal. Would undoubtedly go again if in the area as everything really is excellent. The only negative is that it did get very busy so finding a table can be a challenge and best to book ahead if you can.

We stayed for 2 nights when attending an event at the Apollo in Hammersmith, 15 minutes walk away. The staff were extremely pleasant and welcoming. Our room was on the second floor, steps to get there so need to be mobile. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable with a lovely view of the tree-lined street. There were tea-making facilities and we were pleasantly surprised to have a coffee machine with a selection of coffee pods. Fresh milk was available for a short trek to the next floor down. The shower was clean and powerful and the bathroom modern, there was no bath. The only thing that wasn’t presented well was the grubby carpet leading upstairs which is a shame as it’s the first impression and an easy fix. We had a meal in the bar and the food was good, we had a chicken schnitzel and beetroot and goat’s cheese salad, only complaint would be that the triple-cooked chips were under-cooked! They had a good selection of wine and an especially nice Albariño. Overall we would definitely stay there again.

Lovely pub setting right on the river. We got a park right out front also. Sunday roast was good but unfortunately either it’s managed terribly or the kitchen is way understaffed as service was incredibly slow. Wait staff plonk the plate down and not once ask if you need anything. We ordered children’s meals and these took 1 hour to come, despite asking 4 times if they can bring those ones out asap (those with little ones know the struggle). Burger came out without cheese so they took it back and put cheese on and we are fairly sure they threw it in microwave to melt the cheese (what did the meat and bread do to deserve being ruined like that). Food is nice though in honesty and husband said the meat in burger tasted good despite the post microwave rubberyness. They need to sort out their staffing on a busy Sunday and improve service before I’d go back

We both visited the Market today and came across this small restaurant in the centre of the Market seemed to pull us both in , with the promise of a very nice meal , we decided to have lunch, we both had Gammon egg and chips , and a tea , it came and very good it was too, surprised there wasn't many more people in eating , we will be definitely visiting there again when we go to the Market in the future ,it was Clean and well run I would recomend it to anyone couples or families , it's perfect hence the Exelent recommendation.
