This may not be universally popular but the food is really just ok here. Make no mistake the staff are knowledgeable and lovely- for sure the best thing here. And maybe Saturday lunch is a bad time. The trout wasn’t very fresh ( we should have sent it back). The fallow deer was accurately cooked, the bare minimum for a Michelin started restaurant I’d imagine?good range of wines possibly a few more sub £50 would be welcome. St John has its own label wines from good producers for mid £30. I wanted to like the food. We had a great time. But it wasn’t because of the food. Maybe it never should be?

Excellent service in a busy pub with just two front of house staff working flat out, yet nothing was too much trouble. And all done with a smile and a kind word. Oh and the food was excellent too.

TEN OUT OF FIVE !!! In want of a solid bite to eat before a show we found the Atlas by happy accident. The staff were so welcoming, the service really good. The pub interior is rustic and cosy and just what we were looking for. The food is amazing ... quality ingredients, well cooked and soooo tasty. Great chef! After the show went to we came back for last orders and to round out a great night in town. Can't wait to come back, thank you for the lovely experiences. xxx

Great service, and Food which is reasonably priced. The staff are great and provide excellent customer service . Ruben was very helpful and provided great service on our visit
