As a regular visitor I felt compelled to praise what they do for others to enjoy. Firstly, convenient location, always free parking available if dining. Friendly welcome by staff. Relaxing, comfortable and spacious restaurant with large glass windows allowing plenty of sunlight. Menu is comprehensive and very reasonable prices. Food arrives quickly and cooked perfectly. Everything is super clean (a standard that many restaurant chains don’t seem to uphold). On my latest visit, Ned and Savanna served me and provided excellent customer service. We needed to make a change to one of the dishes after we had ordered and they saw that it was no problem. As you can see, My family and I highly recommend The Rising Sun.

Went to Steinbeck and Shaw early on a busy Saturday evening. We'd always liked the atmosphere and prices of drinks were very good. Asked for Bellini, they don't do Bellinis. Asked for a mojito, no mint. Asked for a gin and tonic, given in a plastic goblet, no lemon slice available. I had a pint glass for my beer, so I couldn't understand why my wife had to have a cheap plastic one. A pretty poor experience at a cocktail bar we really used to like.

I visited the Happy Hour to primarily watch football and have dinner. The place is downright horrid. Asked for cider, they had Strongbow on draft and one bottle of Bulmers. The Strongbow tasted terrible. The place is just a dive, falling to bits. Filthy interior, wonky tables, dirty furniture, dirty toilets the lot. Anyway... I decided for some reason to eat here, and i picked the Crispy Duck. This is the absolute strangest meal I’ve ever had, its like they heard what goes into Crispy Duck wraps and just guessed. Had a sizzling plate of crispy duck on fried onions brought out, with four wraps, diced carrot and halved cucumbers! But the duck was in chunks, so it was impossible to eat in a wrap. The cutlery/condiment stand was on a par, with three forks and four spoons available, and the tomato sauce sachets were filthy, i had to wash my hands after touching them. It’s as if they didn’t care about customers or their presentation on a whole, I’ll never come back here, even at gunpoint. I’m genuinely struggling to list a good point about Happy Hour. The TV was pretty much on the ceiling, and I couldn’t hear any of the commentary. Avoid at all costs, please, save yourself..
