The best restaurants serving British food in Stansted North Uttlesford East of England

Never eaten here before but the food was amazing. 2 roast dinners were to die for, and scampi & fries was excellent. Great service from Lucy and the young waitress. Didn't get her name. Great prices, great atmosphere. Well done.

We needed somewhere to have lunch on a Sunday close to Stansted airport. The restaurant is 5 minutes away in historic Stansted Mountfitchet and what a great find it turned out to be. I had roast beef and my wife had belly pork. The meats were really delicious and perfectly cooked. The vegetables were alive and freshly prepared and the gravy was smooth, rich and very tasty. Friendly service, good wine selection and a charming and comfortable environment made for a great dining experience. There was nothing left on our plates but we left very satisfied and the bill was more than reasonable. Highly recommended and we will return without doubt.

The staff are lovely Venue should be good but no decent heating Absolutely freezing, one radiator downstairs is a joke Owners please take note and fix it everyone in the place on Saturday had their coat on

Popped in for a coffee after lunch. When we saw the cakes, couldn't resist. Had a piece of carrot cake and it was delicious. Coffee was really good, too. Going to try breakfast next
