The best restaurants serving British food in Melton and Ufford Suffolk Coastal East of England

Starter of wild rabbit terrine was tasty Bread was very nice even ordered a second helping however the mains let everything down The Partridge was very overcooked. The broth had zero flavour the pork was bland. The potatoes and sauce also had zero flavour. Would’ve been nice to have had a decent glass of wine however wine list was heavily weighted towards the old world and fairly exorbitant in price I raised my concerns with the serving staff and they did offer to comp the whole meal however I feel people should be paid for their time and paid the bill. This is my second time at this establishment and I shall definitely not be returning. Disappointing as Adam the head chef was actually cooking

Constantly surprised at how bad it is. Bar staff 'I been here a week and not shown how to make tea''. Tables not cleared and filthy. Staff disillusioned (and leaving) , members disillusioned (and leaving) The owners should have stuck to running care homes. Back on the market within 5 years ?

Beautiful establishment, wonderful staff, and above all, quite simply stunning quality food. Entirely exceeded expectations in every aspect of our visit. Already booked our next reservation, and despite being a 50 minute car journey away, we will be using every excuse to return again and again.

Great friendly gastropub in a beatiful village. We really enjoyed our stay here - there are two shepherds huts in the garden so we were able to enjoy afternoon drinks in the lovely garden followed by dinner, more drinks and then bed! Andy and the team made us feel very welcome, including our dogs. The huts are very comfortable and well equipped. Good value all round. We will be back :)
