Constantly surprised at how bad it is. Bar staff 'I been here a week and not shown how to make tea''. Tables not cleared and filthy. Staff disillusioned (and leaving) , members disillusioned (and leaving) The owners should have stuck to running care homes. Back on the market within 5 years ?

food was lovely service was shocking we were first in there got the wrong drink when we told waitress she said no you havent and tasted it as if we were lieing then agreed it was wrong we got a cheese board for desert and asked for some butter gave up waiting after 25 mins then when told waitress she said well we are busy with other orders would never eat there again am dreading breakfast in the morning if same shocking staff that are mainly youngsters who dont care

1hour 20 minutes wait for food on Mother’s Day, restaurant was only quarter full, food was awful. Will not be eating there again

I allowed a week for a response before posting this review....nothing! We booked afternoon tea for 9 (£180) as a family celebrating mother in law's 95th birthday. The views made up for the rather dated restaurant decor The sandwiches were very mediocre, my fussy husband was catered for with 2 finger sandwiches which consisted of a very chewy beef slice and some tuna....one of each....probably a total of one slice of bread. The other sandwiches on offer were hummus, cucumber, tuna and the rather grisly beef. They dried up very quickly, within an hour. (We were there from 2.30-4 ish) The scones and small cakes were pleasant, as was the small sausage roll (I wish there had been 2 each, or a cheese scone option perhaps). The young girl serving was very friendly but pretty much left us to our own devices....no more coffee was offered although tea was plentiful. We had to go in search of somebody to provide a box for 'left overs'. And left without being noticed. The crockery was plain and utilitarian....mother in law does rather enjoy tea more in a bone china cup....it reminded me of NHS china. I can understand cost of linen napkins and laundering but at £20 a head I feel it warrants a bit of class, rather than paper napkins. A small piece of sticky chocolate cake with some rather shaky congratulations written in chocolate sauce was a nice thought. We forced her to eat a morsel! All in all I have to say it was a bit of a disappointment and more of a cafe experience than a hotel restaurant. As it wasn't busy it would have been nice to be nearer the pretty view rather than close to the doors and kitchen.

This was a somewhat painful visit for a Sunday lunch at the restaurant. The staff were polite and helpful , doing their best with what looked like poor leadership 1. Service was slow 2. Drinks did not arrive as ordered and had to be re ordered 3. The belly pork was at best underwhelming- very poor execution 4. All drinks after meal were unacceptable in quality, taste and heat 5. Vegetable portions are limited Everything today could and should be improved with a cost that is difficult to stomach on top of a poor meal Not one for leaving feedback and I’m sure others would have a great meal but be aware - this was not great

We have been to Ufford Park for many years for a festive lunch. This year’s visit was extremely disappointing, and we will not be returning. It did not seem like a festive lunch at all. There was one Christmas tree in the restaurant, but no other decorations around and no decorations on the tables. There were no crackers on the table, and no Christmas music playing. The atmosphere was very poor. The food was very poor. The starters, cheese and chocolate dessert were tasty. The Christmas pudding had been reheated in a microwave and was so sticky it was inedible. The turkey had been reheated and was very dry and tough. The vegetables used to come in a separate bowl but were on the plates this year, which made the plates overfilled. We had to wait a very long time for drinks - our starters arrived before the drinks. We felt like we were an inconvenience for staff, and didn’t receive a greeting or goodbye. The staff were not apologetic when we complained about the wait for drinks or that the dessert was inedible. The restaurant is also used by day spa guests. Despite the restaurant being empty apart from us, they sat a loud group on the table next to us, who were discussing very inappropriate things when we were trying to enjoy our meal. Despite visiting Ufford Park for many years, we are so disappointed we will not be retuning.

golf player or not this hotel is deffinightly worth a vissit the staff and food are excellentrecommend to anyone

Ordered Sunday lunch for me and my wife on 21st August 2022, very poor. My beef was so tough and chewy I didn't eat it.£16.50 for 1 and a half potatoes and a miniscule amount of veg somewhere under my yorkshire pudding. I complained to the waiter who said he would let the chef know. I paid the whole bill in full and said to the waiter we will not be back, he said sorry and thank you and enjoy the rest of your day. No more comments !

Part of Ufford Park Hotel, very good meal, staff very good, some good outside seating also with nice views over the golf course.

The steak was really lovely and so were the staff. Music came on, lightly, when there were a few more customers, we were there for an early seating.

We have a lovely family meal here. The menu was very varied for all our various dietary requirements and everyone really enjoyed their food. The service was great, our waitress Rebecca looked after us all really well!

Ate in the restaurant as we had been generously given a voucher for an overnight stay which included a 3 course meal. Personally I found that what we received was overpriced but I wasn't paying! I thought my husbands salmon looked quite meager but he said it tasted nice. I asked for saute potatoes as they were on the menu but received basically slightly fried new potatoes. They swapped them but I think they just sliced whole potatoes up! Never mind! My dessert of almond tart was very tasty but my husbands eaton mess wasn't great. Service was just ok, slightly on slower side but that's fine for me, we were in no hurry. There was a mix up with our table which wasn't the best start. As it was our silver wedding anniversary I'd made a point of specifically choosing our table by the window an hour or so before we dined. However when we arrived it had been given to someone else, they'd basically made a booboo which was dissapointing. Overall though, an enjoyable evening.

Wide choice at breakfast & dinner. Enjoyed the specials at dinner. Good cooking & wine list, attentive service.

Had a great family meal in the restaurant last month. Food and environment was top notch and enjoyed by all the family (even my fussy youngest daughter). The whole experience was made all the more enjoyable by the excellent service provided by our friendly waitress. Her smiley approach and can-do attitude means that we will very much plan a return. I think the waitress; name was Immy or Immi? Definitely worth giving her a pat on the back. A credit to your restaurant!

I’m here trying to just enjoy my time in the restaurant and all I can hear is the manager screaming like a baby treating staff like rubbish and making them cry they look like there between 16-18 and gets treated like that, pathetic!

We booked golf and dinner for about 25 adults. The dinner service was patchy, with some people having to wait over 15 minutes while others were served immediately. When we tried to get a drink the staff appeared uncoordinated, lacking in ability to memorise simple requests, and would take over 20 minutes to fill the order despite having the order repeated several times. Drinks were expensive as well.

Yummy lunch of sandwich & panini …. Would have been 5 stars as setting & service was fab BUT £3 for 3 onion rings … that’s £1 each … really?!

The food and service in the Park Restaurant & Bar was excellent and I would highly recommend trying it if you are staying on site.

We had a very enjoyable Sunday lunch of roast beef and varied deserts, The waitress made us welcome and was ever present for our orders. The seating was comfortable and we had a good view of the golf course. Unfortunately there was a discrepancy with our bill but it was sorted out. It was a genuine accident as we received the wrong bill which was almost double our correct one. and caused initial concern until recognising where the problem lay. This did not detract from a good meal but our memory will be more about the shock of receiving the wrong expensive bill. We are now waiting for a refund of £90 from our credit card.

As it was a lovely sunny day we had lunch at Ufford Park with our three young grandsons on Sat 26th June and sat on the lower area outside the restaurant. Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience. Despite the table service waitress reading our order back to us part of it never arrived. My wife and I had brown bread sandwiches, but the bread was a bit dry. After our drinks and most of our food order arrived none of the waiters or waitresses reappeared and I had to go in the bar area to tell them part of our order was missing. Thankfully our chips quickly arrived and the girl who took our order came up and apologised. However, after that the waiting staff disappeared again. We waited for a while after we had finished our meal hoping to get another drink and some ice cream for our grandsons, but in the end we gave up and left. It was busyish outside, but no where near full. Perhaps they don’t have enough staff.

We stayed for 3 days and every meal was well presented, delicious and service was excellent. My grandson enjoyed creating his own burger, and we loved the delicious desserts which we had delivered to our room later in the evening.

Brilliant overnight stay with dinner and breakfast package. Staff helpful and kind and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The food was adequate and traditional

The fish dish on the specials restaurant menu tonight was truly exceptional, the plaice was perfect!.I had been staying in this hotel all week, the staff have been extremely attentive and polite all week, I am not quite sure what the review of “inattentive staff” was about.... I can only imagine the personality of the reviewer ‘May’ have caused people to be compelled to afford them a prolonged period of social distance, (bordering on infinite). My fish dish tonight was truly exceptional, thank you to Jess the Chef 5 stars,I only wish the Plaice was not a fish special, And that it was instead on the permanent restaurant menu, (I would have ordered it every night !).

A very poor experience from start to finish for Sunday lunch.Unttentive staff on the bar who did then come to our table to take our drinks order but then made us go to the bar to order food? Why? When the food arrived it was very poor, swimming in gravy, smallest Yorkshire pudding I have ever seen and over cooked half roast potatoes, as you can also see from the pic I received no veg at all. When complained at the end but it was just fobbed off by the waitress. Staff are very young and inexperienced. Worst food I have had out and we eat our alot, the 1 star was for the Becks Vier which was actually quite nice.

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night so decided to eat in the restaurant. The menu is very limited but thats always a good sign that the food is going to be fresh. My wife had chicken which she said was very nice, I had Tunna Staek which was tasty but everything on the plate was stone cold. I would have complained at the time but that would have meant we would have been eating seprately .Had staff enquired if everything is ok I might have said something to them but no one asked the question. Breakfast was very good as was the accomodation.

Good varied menu. Excellent quality. Quick service. Lunch service dealt with well in the light of current situation

Had lunch here after a spa treatment and felt very uncomfortable. The tables in the bar area were far to close together and if the person on the table behind me stood up at the same time as I did we would have been less than half a meter away from each other!!! A member of staff too our order promptly but they were very slow in getting the drinks out (it wasn’t overly busy) and I could hear other customers getting irritated by this too. The food however looked and tasted fantastic, reasonably priced too. I really think they need to re look at the seating situation in the bar, I won’t be going back anytime soon as I didn’t feel secure eating there.

After a fun morning at The Congo Rapids Adventure Golf with friends, we headed over for lunch at the restaurant.Very helpful staff, Fiona on the bar and with particular mention to Josh, who patiently took our orders (there were 9 of us), read it back and even helped fix our table umbrella!Good value and options for both adults and children. Staff very apologetic when we had to chase up one dish. All meals enjoyed.Thank you.

On the positive side this hotel is in a lovely setting close to Woodbridge - however the meal we had was just dreadful - the chicken had a greyish tint to it and when questioned we were told it was because it had been sitting in the gravy for a while!This was not the first bad experience we have had here and we came back to give them the benefit of doubt. Take a tip from me and pop along the road where you can be assured of wonderful food in a friendly pub with great atmosphere.

Evening meal - good ok but not amazing ... limited choices but had worse service a bit too slow even though the restaurant was not busy But the background jazz music was awful !!!! Don’t think I would rush back ...

This restaurant has had a huge investment since my last visit. We had a booth, which felt intimate and secluded, given we wanted to enjoy the company of our friends, and felt like we had private space.There were many tables put together in the middle, to accommodate any party size, so thought that might impact, but it didn’t, we didn’t really hear them, and felt like we’d got private table service, and seclusion for our intimate dinner evening, despite the fact the restaurant was packed.Food was delicious, menus suited all our tastes, service was great, but the ambience of a vibrant full restaurant was brilliant. Well worth a visit, for the views if nothing else.

Met up with friends here for a meal at the Park Bar. Bar menu has an excellent range of food options, all reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our food came quickly and looked and tasted fantastic. Would highly recommend!

Although the website sais its award winning breakfast available for walk-ins, the staff doesnt seem to know about it. They are totally unprepared for any walk-ins: no menu, no prices or anything but requiring payment upfront without even explaining what is included. After walking by the sadly looking buffet, we rather order bites at the bar. The coffee is average, the only highlight is the bap itself, nice and soft and tasty, however they serve it to us without cutlery or even napkins. The settings are beautiful, sitting there and watching over the golf field on a sunny day is really-really lovely. I would return maybe for a coffee, but foodwise and servicewise not. The food is nice but at this price you would expect sth nicer, and the service feels like you are in a hotel chain... lots of staff members but everything is very sterile.

Had lunch at the restaurant on 21.04.19. No drinks list offered or supplied. We ordered a house white and a Merlot. The bill for these 2 bottles of wine was £70.51. I posted a complaint on the website of the Ufford Park Hotel and Restaurant and did not receive a response from the company.

Probably the worst food ever at a cost of over twenty pounds a head, no cake, no staff available to help in any way. Cold tea and no refills, all in all a bad experience at a time when a good experience is needed.

just returned from ufford park, i had a sausage bap from the bar, the sausages were from a previous day and just reheated, surely for the price they charge they could afford fresh sausages

Having booked a Travelzoo deal which included breakfast, we were not disappointed with the choices, quality and presentation of breakfast. A buffet style offering with a choice of eggs and plenty of options. The evening meal was, in our opinion, not quite so good due to the choices, predominately fish, steaks and burgers for the mains. What we had was good and tasty and 2 courses for £20 not bad value. Bottom line, absolutely no need to leave the hotel for a decent, good value meal.

2 courses for under £20 in an attractive environment is decent and the choices and portions are very good. The staff were friendly and helpful (Abi especially) and went out of their way to assist with food tolerance issues

Eat here on our recent stay had drinks in bar and breakfast in morning of our departure Great views on a frosty morning over the golf course . Didn't have dinner as we had booked some where else but place was nicely set out in the evening

The thermal suite was excellent apart from the aroma steam room not fully operational. Food was good - the gammon was tough and the sea bass was dry. Spa treatment was excellent and all staff were fantastic.

This is the third year we have visited Ufford for a golf and Spa weekend. As per normal the course was in great condition and the girls enjoyed the spa. The food in the evening was very tasty and the drink was flowing!! A special note is that the staff were excellent; especially Adel who was on all after noon and evening and could not have been more attentive. PLUS Adel new how to make a Gunners without asking. Good Job!!

lovely family room, with actual beds not sofa beds for the children. Food was delicious- adel yasin service was fantastic and very accommodating

The menu was very good and the meal was excellent. It was fairly priced at £19.95 for 2 courses and the drinks were reasonable. We had the gammon steak and a Salmon dish which were fantastic and the duck terrine and Brie wedges for a starter. The only reason it was not 5 stars for me is that the service was only worth 4 stars.

Weather was sunny so had breakfast,lunch and dinner on terrace. Breakfast was self service,good choice of cooked items, lunch was from Bar snack menu.We had the 3 course menu from the dining room which the very friendly staff were happy to serve to us on the terrace.

Comfortable restaurant in Ufford Park Hotel, good selection of dishes and very helpful staff who adjusted dish to suit. Well cooked and local ingredients in use, particularly liked the map on the menu reverse, showing suppliers.

I had food from the specials board which is served unti 6pm.

Lovely meal, staff very friendly. Deal for 2 and 3 courses, catered for most budgets. Missed part of our order - full apology given and then given the missed part to us for free without asking!

The food was ok, but when you compare it to restaurants nearby (like the unruly pig) who charge virtually the same, then its average at best.

Was really easy to book over the phone and our table in the restaurant was waiting for us when we arrived. Sunday roast menu was really good value with choice of how many courses you would like. Our waiter was really friendly!!! Food looked and tasted fab!! Later we used the cafe side. They had fantastic range of amazing cakes and sweet treats. Everything was reasonably priced. Highly recommend!!!!

A new look and an even better menu, excellent food and a good choice as they let our daughter choose from the more varied ( for teenagers!) bar menu. Very reasonable prices.

We had a great Sunday brunch with everything available and hot, eggs also freshly fried. The only down was the wait for the coffee machine but we were in no rush.

Excellent course and accommodation. The food and choice is of a very good standard and served quickly by the very friendly staff

We choose to eat at the hotel restaurant as we'd had a very busy day and didn't want to travel very far. We felt that the menu was a little limited but the prices were quite good so we made our reservation. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The 'specials' menu was give to us when we sat down so I choose the main course from that menu. The food was really good and we enjoyed our meals although they did make a mistake with my husband's dessert selection which they apologised for. I would definitely eat in the restaurant again when we go back to the hotel.

Nos aventuramos en después de un partido de minigolf y estamos muy gratamente sorprendidos. Yo no había visitado un club de golf antes y esperaba bastante cargada, pero no era cierto. El servicio era genial. El menú infantil fue genial, era tan agradable poder pedir un sencillo trozo de queso en pan tostado, como niños pequeños me gusta! Disfrutamos de un plato de compartir. Aunque no somos golfistas hay mucho que hacer aquí que estoy seguro de que volveremos.

Había infundido salmón, con tailandeses frescos, ensaladas crujientes cortadas finamente picadas, y las mejores patatas fritas de todos! Tres veces preparado creo, pero crujientes por fuera, blandas y suaves por dentro, agradable y seco, con un poco grasienta en exceso de aceite vista!

Llegamos al bar para después de un tratamiento de spa. Fantástica variedad en el menú, todo a un precio razonable. El personal era muy servicial y la comida llegó rápido! ! Sin duda, comer aquí de nuevo! !

Había un montón de énfasis en ingredientes frescos producidos localmente y sentí que su excelente atención al detalle!

Ufford Park Hotel tiene revitalizado es bar y restaurante y tuve el placer de probar la última noche de tarifa. El restaurante es mucho más brillante y los arreglos de asientos mejorado mucho. Personalmente me favorecen la banqueta en la ventana, por el día, con vistas al campo de golf y por la noche un buen punto de vista para ver todo el restaurante.

Ufford Park que visite regularmente ya que asistir a sus clases de bebé dos veces a la semana y también me encanta el walk trail con mi Labrador y su bebé, ya que es ideal para ruedas!

On arrival 3 members of staff walked by us without acknowledging that maybe we needed some help. We were then shown to a table, but moved as they had got it wrong. The staff asked if we wanted tea or coffee, and as I do not drink either of these, I asked if I may have a hot chocolate instead. The reply was "we charge extra". To which, I decided tap water would suffice. The drinks were brought over followed by our afternoon tea. There was no discussion on what sandwiches we may or may not have liked. We were not asked if our food was ok, and had to ask when we wanted a refill of the jug of water. When we had finished, I went to the bar to pay. 3 members of staff were there and all ignored me. They were not busy with customers, they appeared to be just making themselves busy. When someone eventually did come over, she simply said "yes?". I was then presented with the bill without any further communication. We paid and left feeling a bit deflated. The food overall was nice, but maybe not worth the money. But the staff really let the whole place down. Disappointing really as it could've been a much more pleasant experience.

Went to the amazing new adventure golf and came in for food afterwards. Great range of options on the menu, reasonably priced too. Food looked and tasted brilliant!!

Considering that this venue is primarily a Golf Club, the facilities are excellent. Pool, Spa and Restaurants are excellent with friendly staff. Breakfast buffet very good.

Booked with 2 friends for a 2 day spa break, spa facilities were nice and the staff very efficient and friendly throughout, however, the dining room is appalling for the price and it being a golf/spa leisure resort we had at least expected a nice dining area, it was part of the bar and the décor is dreadful, we are not snobs but this was really disappointing as we had taken dining clothes with us but we would have fitted in more in out jeans or sweat pants!! The food was also disappointing not much choice, I ordered the cod which looked and tasted more like plaice and had no sauce or anything to accompany it, dessert however was good, a shame as it wasnt cheap to stay there and came away dissapointed

I took a friend as a treat for Sunday lunch on April 3rd. We had 2 courses for £14.95. Started with prawn and smoked salmon on a bed of shredded salad leaves. A generous portion and fresh. But let's face it there is not a lot of culinary skill needed to put this dish together. A roast does require some culinary expertise. However, the lamb was rather dry on a small amount of rather glutinous and warmish gravy. My friends chicken breast looked like a large lump of cold lard. The potatoes tasted as if they had been soaked, cooked in water overnight and ditto the rather overcooked vegetables. This was a very poor value meal. The waitress came and asked us if everything was alright. However, what is needed is someone in the kitchens checking that the food is of good quality, tasty and hot before it is sent to the customer's table. Sadly, will not be going again even though I visit the are often.

Great service, the staff were very attentive and efficient. The food was also excellent, steak was cooked to perfection. Starters and dessert were also great as was the wine. Would love to come back again.

The menu could do with being a little more imaginative. The maître d', Stuart, gets full marks for trying his best to please everybody but his job is an up hill struggle.

Very nice food, tea pots and cups nothing special could buy some. I would say if ur at the hotel afternoon tea is ok, however do not go as a special occasion as it is nothing fancy and rather odd u only get one choice of sandwich they are trying to be upmarket but failed unfortunately.

I stayed for two nights on business and I had Chilli Con Carne on both nights which was beautiful and the staff was vearly nice and pleasent they always had a smile on they faces and nothing was to much touble to make you feel welcome. I would recomend this Hotel and Restaurant and well worth return visit.

Decided to eat in the restaurant after a lovely and relaxing spa experience, but was actually quite let down by the restaurant and the food. The décor was very dated and actually reminded me of an old holiday park, the food was ok, but that's it just ok. We had the pan fried chicken, which was undercooked and very stringy. We also had the T-bone pork steak which again, just ok. Both meals were just of a standard I could've have quite easily cooked at home, which defeats the object of eating out! although the staff were very nice and polite, we were sat at a tiny table in the corner, when there was only a few other diners in the whole restaurant. Given you can travel just down the road to Woodbridge and have a fantastic meal in any number of places for less money I was very disappointed at the cost.

I have stayed here more than 6 times and always come to the Hotel restaurant. We are always greeted like old friends and made to feel very welcome. The food is great and definitely value for money. The restaurant manager Stu is super friendly and always remembers us.

Stayed for two nights and had 3 course meal both nights. Set menu stayed the same for both nights, with a good choice, but was nice to be offered a small 'specials' menu, which changed each night. Food quality and atmosphere was brilliant and service staff were very polite. Restaurant manager Stuart was great, and even when we had a little problem with the food, it was no problem for them and he even gave us a little discount to compensate. Great attitude made for two lovely evenings well worth returning for.

We had an excellent meal at this restaurant. For the main meal I had pheasant (which I've never eaten before) and I enjoyed this. My partner had plaice. She's eaten this fish in numerous restaurants before and she said that this one was the best she'd ever eaten. The service was also up to the same standard and I would definitely recommend this establishment.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel and had breakfast and dinner included in the package. Dinner was great (both nights) and the service was fantastic. I would really recommend this restaurant. Staff in all the corners of the hotel were very helpful and kind, and seemed relaxed at all times.

Had a lovely 3 course meal here which was including in our spa package. It was nice food, but the staff, they were excellent. So friendly and made us very at ease. There was a young boy training (this was on the 31st August ) if on the off chance he reads this he's going to make a great waiter :) (just needs to not look so scared bless him!) overall I would highly rate this place great value.

I have now eaten here twice in 2014 whilst on a one night spa package with friends. Both breakfasts were good. The seating needed a good clean on my first stay and, despite my bringing this to the hotels attention, it needed a good clean on my second stay! The food at dinner on both occasions was not brilliant, neither from a menu (stay 1) or at a carvery (stay 2). Yorkshire pudding, carrots and cauliflower cheese etc is never going to be a good accompaniment to fish! The staff here are excellent, but the variety and standard of the food needs sorting out.

A very enjoyable meal with good quality food and an excellent level of service from well trained, attentive staff. We were fortunate to have a choice of tables with a great view over the immaculate grounds of the golf course. We would be more than happy to dine in the Park restaurant again if we make a return visit to Ufford Park.

Myself and 2 friends dinned here a few weeks ago and due to the excellent Maitre D Stuart our visit was amazing. His attention to detail, especially in regards to my friends GF needs made our visit - thank you.

Once again a fabulous visit. I treated my Mum for her 70th birthday and was not disappointed.The staff were very attentive, the food was excellent as well as being good value and my Mum was made to feel very special.Thank you for helping me find a great way to treat my Mum without breaking the bank. She wants to come back as soon as we can arrange it. Keep up the good work.

Due to the excellent Maitre D Stuart, our 2 night stay was made that more special, his attention to detail and excellent personality made our weekend that more memorable. If only more people in public relations jobs were as personable and pleasant as Stuart then it would be lovely. The food was lovely, varied and fresh. Stuarts knowledge of the menu also helped that bit more too.

We booked in for the Valentine's meal and had expected that some effort would have been made to make it special. A rose on the table would have been nice!The staff are very attentive and professional and very friendly. Only criticism if one of the girls had very strong perfume on which I hate when food is being served.Starter very small, tiny bowl of rather flavourless soup and a small plate of uninteresting lookingmeats. My main meal was pretty awful, it was supposed to be vegetable casserole with dumplings and mashed potato but was really like a ratatouille with a herb dumpling and grey mash on the side. Nice bread rolls though. Husband's steak was very good apparently but was quite a lot of money. Didn't have a dessert or coffee. This restaurant could be a lot better, I know it is dated as is the rest of the hotel but I do thinkit could be a lot better with the addition of table cloths, so unusual now and so lovely for guests.Staff really excellent, food needs to be a better portion and a bit more attention to taste and presentation.

We had our valentines meal here and it was absolutely delicious! The staff were so friendly and polite, the atmosphere was great and the food was some of the best we have had! The menu was great and not bad prices either. I cannot speak highly enough of the whole evening. If you are thinking of dining here you will not be disappointed.

We ate at the park as we were on a spa weekend break and food was included in the price. We had a 3 course meal and also breakfast. The evening meal was superb, the flavour was outstanding and I can recommend the smoked chicken and bacon salad. The staff made the evening relaxing and Stuart was ensuring our evening was going smoothly, his manner is very professional. Breakfast was lovely and the sausages very nice quality.

Had dinner here as part of our package from the hotel and it did not disappoint! The food is amazing, one of the best meals I've had, and not let down by the starters or desserts! The service was great, very polite, friendly and efficient. Also Stuart (I think his name was) was very friendly and you could tell he knew what he was doing. There atmosphere was lovely, I dined here on 1st February and would definitely dine here again!

The Maitre d is a credit to the restaurant. He is friendly, welcoming and runs the restaurant superbly. We really wasn't expecting anything top notch but that is exactly what we got. The menu was extensive with a great range of specials. For starters I had baked camembert with cranberry sauce, my husband had smoked mackerel salad, both were beautiful. Mains, I had Lemon Sole in a prawn butter and caper sauce with sauté potatoes and green beans and my husband had the mixed grill, again beautiful. I never usually have desert but had raspberry and white chocolate cheese cake and my husband fruit crumble with custard...superb!!Hats off to the chef, catering and waiting staff. Absolutely fabulous!!

The new MaitreD is friendly and efficient knows exactly what is going on and the food and service are excellent.

We stayed at Ufford Park Hotel for a spa break to celebrate our wedding anniversary and ate in the Park Restaurant on the Saturday evening. The restaurant offered a good table d'hote menu with two additional 'specials' for each course so the choice covered everyone's taste including vegetarian. My husband had smoked salmon and prawn cocktail whilst I tried the ham hock terrine infused with mustard and neither of us were disappointed. We then both enjoyed the game pie which arrived with creamy mashed potatoes and carrots - it was delicious and piping hot and we both said how excellent it was. Desserts were mixed berry trifle for my husband and lemon meringue for me - again delicious. The comprehensive wine list offers some first class choices. Stuart the restaurant manager delivers a very high level of customer service and is obviously very dedicated to his work and to raising the profile of the restaurant. He surprised us with complementary shortcake star biscuits with raspberry coulis drizzled which spelt out the words 'Happy Anniversary' - a lovely touch to a lovely evening. Breakfast in the restaurant was also very good considering they were catering for guests from both a large wedding party and birthday party totalling 205 covers. The service we received was no less than on the Saturday evening despite the numbers. We will certainly eat in the restaurant again during our next stay at Ufford Park and can highly recommend it!

It is always a pleasure to have any meal in this restaurant. Lovely setting overlooking the course whatever the weather. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, polite and smart. The menu is extensive for all tastes, occasions and well presented.

Stayed at Ufford park hotel for a weekend with one of my friends for a spa break. The food in the Park restaurant was absolutely beautiful, service was great. Staff was punctual and polite! Variety of food was great. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit would defo recommend !

So often hotel restaurant food menus are drab however The Park Restaurant is an exception. I stayed here on business and found the menu to be imaginative and the food of a very high standard (compliments to the chef).....reasonably priced too. If you're not a vegetarian, the local beef used in the restaurant is excellent. Nothing too much trouble for the staff with particular mention for Stuart (a theme through the comments). Overall a very enjoyable experience.

I was warmly welcomed as if I were a member of the golf club, even though I was staying on business for just one night. The evening was thoroughly enjoyable. The gym was very good and was followed by a fantastic meal in the restaurant. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff very friendly. Stuart's service was particularly outstanding. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

being close to my home and having eaten here a couple of time now i though it fair that i left a comment. A little put off the first time i went because it is a golf club, however despite this upon arrival i was treated equally well and received excellent service in the bar and restaurant. I was taken to my table offered menus and a jug of water that was poured for me. The menu was varied and offered something for everybody. bread was offered free of charge which is a nice touch these days. i opted for baked camembert to start it was deliriously gooey. Salmon for main course with prawn and lemon butter and leeks. it was a really nice dish with a nice amount of lemon juice to flavour everything. i struggled to eat the dessert but only did so because it was so tasty - pear and frangipane tart. the staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful when making choices on the menu. would go back again friends of mine are visiting in a couple of months for christmas parties so im sure they will have a good time.

We ate in the Park Restaurant for 5 days and thought the food and staff were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble We were in a party of 10 and on the second evening they asked if we would like a private room which we did. Breakfast was delicious with lots of fruit, cereals, porridge, kippers and bacon eggs and all the usual trimmings and toast. We had a 3 course meal at night and again it was delicious. The staff were all friendly especially Stuart and Abi and we wish you both all the very best with the new baby!!

Excellent food, good choice, excellent service, Stuart, the maître d, really knows his job, more than happy to adapt menu to suit our needs.

Went along with 6 other ladies for golf break...the 3 course dinner was excellent...well prepared, hot and very tasty! The service as excellent from all staff but in particular a manager who had made you feel like the only person there! Would certainly go back again just to the restaurant let alone the golf course.
