The best restaurants serving British food in St Laurence Southend-on-Sea East of England

If you want to set yourself up for the day, pré-book breakfast. You are shown to your table and asked if you wanted tea or coffee - I asked for a double espresso which was no trouble or extra cost. I then had some berries and yogurt followed by a full English. You can keep going back for more and for a small extra fee, they do specials like scrambled eggs nd smoked salmon or pancakes,

We went to this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon at around 4pm, was told there was no roasts, that was fine but then when we tried to order from the main menu, we was told that they couldn't order cause his manager Luke told him he couldn't take the order. Was told to wait til 5pm and he would get back to us which he didn't. So when we went back up to the bar he got snotty and said that his manager has told him that he still couldn't take our order as they will be having 2 tables for 15 people and a table of 7 but there was no one in the restaurant. I'm sorry but it's unexceptable as we was a couple. 2 more people wouldn't of been a problem when the big parties hadn't even arrived. Also we was a guest at the Premier Inn next door. We won't be visiting again. We went somewhere else to eat.

Nice food and service, but I will no longer visit this restaurant due to the way they've outsourced their car park to an aggressive parking company who clearly make a fortune from scamming unaware customers.
