What a lovely place. Held a Golden Wedding Party here. Staff couldn’t have been any more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back for the next party.

Our favourite place to dine out locally. Sunday lunch for the two of us was, as ever, first class. Polite, professional staff and excellent food prepared and served in welcoming surroundings. Word of advice for would be diners: book early as they are understandably very popular.

The team were brilliant tonight. We had a small issue that the team sorted out unbelievably well, discrete and just sorted the problem. Thank you

Came in April and the food and service were excellent. Tonight alas, quite the opposite. Last time, I was lucky to get a beef shin starter, which was incredibly good. Tonight, it was off. If you can’t consistently provide it, why have it on the menu? My wife’s squid starter was tiny, apparently tasteless and very poor value. The two double burgers ordered were seriously overcooked. My scampi was ok at best. Would have had the Thai Green Curry but that was also off. Water for the table was requested but never arrived. Service was very poor throughout. Had to go to the bar to find the waitress to request the bill then had to go back again after a longish wait to ask to pay. All round a huge disappointment, especially as we’d been bigging the place up to our companions. And £6.40 for a pint of lager - really?! Not inclined to return and risk a repeat experience, which is a shame.
