Amazing ice cream! A big bonus for us was that it was suitable for our nut-allergic son, who almost never gets this sort of ice cream treat. The lady was very knowledgeable about her ingredients as it’s homemade, and made sure she got a fresh scoop for him too. He declared it the best ice cream ever! The coffee was also delicious, piping hot & served in beautiful eco-friendly cups with different designs. Highly recommend and not just for the summer, the hot chocolate looked amazing too and there was a lovely selection of gifts in the shop.

Lovely surroundings but both the service and the food were of much poorer quality than on our previous visit. Our food came out in dribs and drabs so that some meals.werw nearly finished before others got theirs. Coffee was cold and dietary needs were not catered for at all well. In fact the staff seemed reluctant to try to help regarding this need. The food was not of good enough quality to justify the price. Having eaten there regularly we were all very disappointed and will now thing twice before returning.

Very average food but disappointed. Was for my son’s 30th birthday. No warm greeting, no happy birthday and staff aloof.

Fairy disappointed with the coldness of the owner. His customer service wasnt particularly friendly, sadly. We'd been recommended this upstairs cafe, which is quite a tight space, however we were left feeling we'd gone elsewhere. We felt a burden and rushed. The food we ordered was well presented. That's the only positive, which is why I have given 3 stars. Otherwise for customer service, Id have given less. Downstairs is fabulous chocolates and confectionery. Again a very narrow space. To get up to the tiny cafe its up steep stairs and may not be suitable for people with mobility issues. There are many other tea rooms, in Lavenham, Id choose before Id consider this one again.

Nice little tearoom, however the quality of the food left much to be desired. Ordered a fish finger sandwich for £10 and it was tiny and only contained one fish finger....albeit a large one...still tiny for the price. Husband had a sausage sandwich which was on average shop bought sliced bread. Coffees were nice and reasonably priced but £3.50 for a can of diet coke is daylight robbery!
