From the outset I have to say that this is my favourite Country Pub and I have reviewed it previously. However, I just had to write a new review because of the fantastic meal we had yesterday. We live quite a long way from The Three Conies so we can't get there as often as we would like. Recently we saw a new meal advertised on the website and it was simply inspired. A fish-themed dinner but presented as an afternoon high tea might be. A multi-tiered rack with a wide and varied selection of items. Coated fish, battered sausage, seafood bites, tartare sauce, curry sauce, pickled eggs, pickled onions and chips. Everything was beautifully cooked and very, very tasty. Portion sizes were extremely generous, which is the norm for this first-class restaurant, and freshly prepared. We had a glass of Madri with the meal and followed with some truly delicious desserts; a Trillionaire's Chocolate Tart and a Biscoff Cheesecake. Service was impeccable and special thanks must go to Charlie, a most delightful young man, who is studying for his A-Levels at present but has great ambitions and a career planned out. The hosts, Rob and Darren, and all the restaurant staff were wonderful and we had an extremely enjoyable evening. We thoroughly recommend this venue but would suggest you book ahead. https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g190758-d3508938-r1003378427-The_Three_Conies-Banbury_Oxfordshire_England.html#

We stayed in this attractive village inn for two nights to attend a wedding. The inn is set in the gorgeous village of Eydon, which is full of pretty honey stoned cottages and an interesting church dating from the 12th century. It was delightful to walk around. Our bedroom at the inn was spacious and beautifully decorated, with thought and attention having been given to decor and textiles. There were two bathroom areas, one with a shower and one with a fabulous cast iron bath that begs to be used! We booked a full English for our first morning. It was delicious, contained every imaginable component and was so vast we shared it between us. The proprietors, Nathan and Gemma, were friendly and helpful and very attentive. I would thoroughly recommend this hostelry for a weekend or longer stay.

Lovely local pub. Susan and Andy are great. The good was amazing, cooked to perfection. The friendliness and service was as good as the food. I would 100% recommend popping in if you’re driving or walking through the village or just book a table and and take an intentional trip.
