Nice old inn, ordered fish and chips, fridays it’s on offer 2 x fish and chips and a bottle of wine £35 bargain! Looking other people plates the food is lovely and hubby was pleased it’s a proper pie not a lie. Only complaint the table we were at has a radiator under the chairs and it was boiling hot 🥵

A proper old traditional pub that serves good food, and hasn’t been converted into a bland gastro-pub thing. Great lunch today next to fire. Dog friendly.

Great little pub with a good selection of beers and spirits. Food is lovely and made on the premises. The people who run the pud are such lovely and friendly people. Would recommend if visiting the area.

This was the worse Christmas meal I've ever had!! 😫. Starter: 3 prawns. Two shavings of avocado. Microscopic. Mains: Dry Turkey, no pigs in blankets. Instead a sausage meat soggy slop with bacon bits in some form of skin. Pudding, passable but again wrapped in a "skin film'. There was no xmas music & then when the choir started to sing, someone put the christmas music on. I only gave I ⭐️ as there isn't a mark for 0 "zero". The staff however were efficient. Dreadful & no comparison to last year.

Came here for a between Chritmas and New Year meal with a family group of 11. It was the last Sunday in December and the menu included many items in addition to Sunday roasts. There was a great deal where a starter and main cost only £20 which was ideal for the adults in the party and the young adults were well catered for, but they only had a main course. The choice was good the standard of food was excellent and without exception everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal. There was a good selection of Beer, Cider and wine and Kev and the staff provided first class friendly service from what turned out to be a family team. The food was just that bit better than normal pub grub and portion sizes would not disappoint even the biggest eaters. There were no negatives and we would certainly return if staying in the area again.
