Such a lovely, friendly welcome from the landlord on my first visit. So much so, I returned each day whilst I was enjoying a mini break in Brassington. From a drink with a great selection of 0% , to delicious award winning pies & lovely homemade cookies on offer at the bar too. And lots of seating outdoors, undercover & space to look up to the stars with lovely lighting. Highly recommend!!

Roast beef dinner for £10.95 (!!) - buttery mash, crispy yorkshire pud, melt in the mouth beef (this is always the tricky bit - stringy ,overcooked, dry etc...not here), carrots, broclli and peas and huge roasties, plus a large jug of thick gravy. Followed up with home made sticky toffee pud and custard - didn't really have the room but shared with my son because 'we just had too'. Honest country pub with fabulous landlord/lady. One not to miss.

I stayed over at the Miner's Arms as I was doing the local Ultra Challenge event in Bakewell. The owners are simply wonderful and go out of their way to make your stay as lovely as they can. The love and care they have for their customers and the locals really permeates through the hotel. The pub itself is wonderful and welcoming. It's is so cosy and quaint. The food is home made and is exceptional, the pub is really welcoming and you can tell how much the owners are loved and respected by the locals and they all made me feel so welcome. I honestly felt like I had known them for years. The room was beautiful and really cosy. I'm not a great sleeper, but the bed was so comfortable that I slept great. I loved everything about my stay. It is situated in a gorgeous village with lots of places to walk, and with exceptional views. The owners wanted to do everything they could to make my stay the best they could. The reason for my stay was I was doing a 100km challenge charity walk close by in Bakewell. The walk was horrendous but I was well looked after by the owners. They went out of their way to make me feel welcome and they were so caring. I got injured on the walk and they stayed up to make sure I was back and safe. They cared for me in the morning and helped me bring my bags down and made sure I got to my car. They were incredible and my stay was wonderful. I almost didn't want to leave. Honestly, I could not have chosen a better place to stay. I was so happy I chose to stay here and I will definitely be coming back to stay and I will be a regular visitor for the food. I live over an hour away, but the travel will be more than worth it.

Booked here for dinner after a day National Trusting with my parents. My dad is a very fussy eater so we have to find somewhere that does traditional British pub grub with a decent pint. Well The Miners Arms fitted the bill perfectly with their obviously home cooked traditional fayre. Simple food done really well. We all enjoyed our meals with the only disappointment being too full to sample the gorgeous looking homemade desserts on offer! My dad was very happy with his Marston’s Pedigree so success all round. Whilst on holiday in The Peak District, we walked The Limestone Way from Parwich to Brassington (and back). There are two pubs in the village, but we called at The Miners Arms for a drink stop. As soon as we walked through the door, we knew we had found a little hidden gem. We were greeted by extremely friendly owners/staff and a crackling log fire. The drinks prices were reasonable (£4.10 for a pint of Staropramen) and service was great. We seated ourselves by the fire and were quickly greeted by the lovely pub dogs, which the staff let us feed a treat to. We didn’t order food, but we perused the menu, which was all reasonably priced and had plenty of choice. There were vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options available. There was a beer garden and the pub was dog friendly and walker friendly. There was also a large TV to show live sports. This pub was 10/10 and we would have loved to have stayed longer if time had allowed. Thank you!
