The best restaurants serving British food in The Wolds Charnwood East Midlands

The Greyhound is a country pub, fantastic staff. Had a 2 night stay room very clean and relaxing. Breakfast was very good, we had no complaints whatsoever. Would highly recommend. The management should be very proud of all the staff.

Popped in here for afternoon lunch. The welcome was warm, the staff friendly and the food good. It was busy, but no real wait for the food, and service was polite and prompt. A little pricey for the puddings after our mains, considering their size, but overlooking this the visit was excellent.

This is a gorgeous restaurant with gorgeous staff. I visited with my parents to celebrate my graduation. From start to end we had such a brilliant time. The food is absolutely delicious, every course was full of flavour and presented beautifully. The wine was exquisite and made the morning headache completely worthwhile. From the bar staff, to the waiters, to the head waiter, they were all polite, kind and did everything with a smile. We also stayed in their two bedrooms upstairs. They were clean, brilliantly decorated and incredibly comfortable. We all had a brilliant night sleep. My only complaint being that there was only two English tea bags and I think that exemplifies how brilliant the stay was that that is the only thing I can find to say that is remotely negative. It also says more about my need for large amounts of tea than it does this brilliant establishment. As a family who are incredibly lucky to visit many highly rated restaurants and hotels this would easily rival many of the five star and Michelin star places we have visited.
