The best restaurants serving British food in Welbeck Bassetlaw East Midlands

What could be a cozy and warm, charming tearooms was totally spoilt by simply not heating the place appropriately. Why on earth wasn't the wood burner lit on a dark, wet and freezing cold January day? It was absolutely freezing cold! I get that the staff maybe warm but such places need to bear in mind that the comfort of the customer should be the priority. Who wants to sit in their coat, shivering? Come on guys, this is England in January. Get the heating on and the wood burner roaring.

18 members of Dukeries U3a had lunch the food was excellent . The garlic mushrooms delicious , several people said best they had had in any restaurant. Luke and Euan looked after us so well nothing too much trouble and served with a smile which is always appreciated. So good that we have exchanged it for one of our venues later in the year. The only complaint, portions so big I had not room for a sweet which I really wanted the passion fruit baked Alaska as I ha had it on a previous visit and it was wonderful.
