The best restaurants serving Asian food in Carmarthenshire West Wales

Walk through the door and you get a fantastic welcome. The owners are friendly and helpful, and when the food arrives everyone was so happy - it was absolutely delicious. Can’t recommend Poons enough!

Had a takeaway as normal rather than a restaurant meal. Paid over £26 for 1 person which is a lot consisting of 2 pappadoms 1 shish kebab 1 pillau rice (which was more like rice pudding) I lamb bhuna (which was nothing like, or as good as the last one from here) 2 chapattis Disappointed with the main course and rice. Nothing like the normal or past standard. So far as the price goes, the menu states 'take away meal deal' for £11.95 1 starter 1 main 1 Pillau rice This means I paid £15 for 2 chapattis and 2 poppadoms!! I feel that I've been overcharged

On the main street in Newcastle Emlyn - bright blue building - easy to find and a very short walk from the hotel. I hate dining alone but was here on business. I was made to feel most welcome by the staff. Great service, reasonable prices and quality food! I had a very cold pint of Cobra, a lovely king prawn Madras, pilau rice and a cheese and chili naan. I would come to this restaurant on a regular basis if I didn't live 4 hours away, and there are at least 4 Indian restaurants close to home, but none this good. It will be a stop on other trips for sure. Thank you for the nice meal!

Best Indian food ever in Carmarthen, Friendly stuff, we ordered the chicken biryani was so tasty, I’ve been many time in this place, delectable, and warm hospitality. Unforgettable experience, Recommend for you.

A little disappointed on our first visit, which was 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. But to be fair I will return at a different time to try again to see if that’s just one of those days. Food was ok, warm, not hot, but sadly served on cold plates. Service was a little hap hazard. Potions not huge but what we had were tasty but for me could have been a bit hotter .
