Absolutely brilliant experience. Beautiful place with a well thought through menu, wine list (sommelier was one of the highlights of the night with honest recommendations and a wealth of knowledge about the food and every wine on offer), cocktails (very good dirty martini!), and timings (3 hours felt like it flew by). Staying at the hotel adds to the experience (lovely stay), but super recommend the restaurant and will return whenever in Wales. They deserve a michelin star easily. Looking forward to the next visit.

We visited Charlie’s Restaurant for the very first time yesterday and it certainly didn’t disappoint. As soon as I walked in I felt instantly ‘at home’ .. the beautifully designed decor was not only a feast for the eyes but felt incredibly cosy too. With it being December it was dressed for the season, with two beautiful Christmas trees adding to the festive vibe. We had Sunday lunch .. my husband and grandson had the beef and I opted for the chicken. The ‘Molly Parkin’ parsnips were absolutely gorgeous and made the perfect accompaniment to our meals .. which were all absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend this delightful little restaurant! Claire Goodchild

We purchased a voucher for Afternoon Tea for my mum for Christmas and were very much looking forward to going. The hotel itself is beautiful and the surroundings are stunning. While the afternoon tea itself was fine, and the sandwiches were particularly good, the whole experience was very underwhelming. We were not offered any further tea or coffee after the original order was taken for our afternoon tea and we then decided we would like to enjoy a drink in the lounge afterwards. However, despite being given a menu, nobody came to take our order for 20 minutes, by which time we decided it was best for us to forget it and head back to Narberth. It is a real shame that such a stunning location was let down by truly lacklustre service.

Service was awful. There were young girls working who wanted to chat to each other rather than serve customers. We had to go up to the bar every time we wanted a drink, ask for dessert menu after waiting over half an hour, then ask for the bill. There didn't appear to be any management around. When we were sat at our table, we weren't informed that there was a specials board, we only noticed after one of our trips to the bar. My partner and I shared a starter of bruschetta, which was overpowered by red onion and ruined the taste. My partner had the jalfrezi, which was the curry of the day, he found it to be a lot of food but said it was really nice. I had the steak and ale pie which was the pie of the day (I had to ask what the pie and curry of the day was). The pie came on a mountain of greens, I think a third of the amount would've been enough. The pie was slightly overcooked and a bit dry. We eat out regularly and I think for the price and the service we received, it definitely wasn't worth it. Overall, it was a disappointing visit which is a shame as I've heard great things about The Boars Head. I wouldn't rush to go back.

During our holiday i wanted to introduce the family to shooting a shotgun as they only shot airrifles before and it is near impossible to do it in the Netherlands (only laser skeet shooting). A Welsh friend booked for us and we had a blast. Rob was a great teacher and storyteller who did an excellent job at putting everyone at ease and is a prime example of 'don't judge a book by its cover'. Even my 15 year old daughter, who didn't want to shoot at first, was destroying clay pigeons in no time. He also made sure everything went safely. Our party of 5 shot 125 shells which cost us only £20 per person, very affordable. We will definately return next time we visit Wales.

We arrived at bluestone absolutely starving, this pub was the first option that came up on our Apple Maps & we literally thought let’s just give it a go. I must say I’m so glad we did, we were seated straight away, food didn’t take long, and the portion sizes were well worth the money! To top it off the food was also banging! The onions rings were 12/10, would definitely recommend.

Service was slow and possibly one of the worst places I’ve ever eaten, The quality of the food was awful very cheap freezer food, You could cook better at home even if you don’t know how to cook. Avoid!!
