Foam Narberth in Pembrokeshire

Service was slow and possibly one of the worst places I’ve ever eaten, The quality of the food was awful very cheap freezer food, You could cook better at home even if you don’t know how to cook. Avoid!!

I live in Narberth and thought I’d support local today for lunch. Firstly, we passed twice at about 12:15 but couldn’t tell if they were open yet as the door was closed and the outdoor chairs were up against the table. We came back and two people were sat outside so we decided to go in. The waitress was lovely and very attentive. She knew her stuff and did her job well. Unfortunately the meal did take 30mins to come out which isn’t much of a problem but we were the only people there eating. I think the problem was a lack of kitchen knowledge the chicken breast burger came out whole, if it had been butterflied it would’ve cooked quicker. The buns were stated as brioche but weren’t and three of the meals missed coleslaw. Other than that the meal was good, the setting is lovely and it was very clean. 👍

Hard to book a table here, staff sometime answer the phone, when they do they often don’t seem to want to take your booking, opening times are very vague, last time I attempted to dine here we sat at lunch time (around 12) for a good 15 minutes before they came to take a drinks order and let us know they weren’t serving food, very peculiar.

Called in for lunch time snack staff were very friendly and helpful lovely welcome. Tables were clean and the over all appearance of the premises was very impressive. We had soup and bread and pate and rustic bread both were well presented and very tasty. Will definitely return. Good luck and keep going.

Visited Foam for lunch. Was surprised was quiet as hadn't been able to secure table before. Lovely welcome on entering, no fuss, shown to table and menus provided. Table service provided by young lady efficient and very pleasant throughout. Food: superb quality and generous proportions. Post work out (all day) breakfast delicious, perfect poached eggs, bacon, on Vine tomatoes etc etc scrummy to last mouthful. Sandwiches massive, fresh with sides of slaw etc. Didn't have room for cake to go with coffee, but offerings looked great. Fab lunch, will definitely return. I don't normally review but this was totally deserved.

Came here for lunch yesterday. Our mouths dropped when we saw the size of the sandwiches. They were huge, we could have shared one between two. We had two of the beer battered fish sandwiches, a tuna one and a soup. All the food was exceptional and the staff were lovely. For those saying it was expensive, you get what you pay for and we feel we had good value for money. Didn't need any tea.

I went to Foam Narberth and ordered a Thai green chicken curry. When it arrived I immediately asked for a spoon because it looked so watery. After a taste of the curry it had no flavour and was basically a bowl of liquid with chunks of chicken in it. When the waitress asked if our meals were ok I said that the curry is just a bowl of liquid and handed her the bowl to take away. When she came back from the kitchen she said that the chef said that it was a traditional Thai green curry and would I like it back. I said no I don’t want the bowl of liquid back. They had no idea of how to deal with the situation and could not rectify it because the chef obviously had no idea. As I left I tried to explain to the waitress that the was not a curry and was a bowl of liquid she just didn’t know what to say and couldn’t wait for me to go away. I will never return or recommend this place.

Can’t fault it. Good food, catered to our needs (picky eaters). Nicely made flat white coffee. Polite staff, very good service.

Called in at lunchtime for a snack. Didn’t see the menu but asked for a bacon sandwich and a coffee. It came with very thick bread, some crisps and coleslaw. I was astonished when the bill arrive, £11.45!

Service was rather slow, not least as the staff team spent the majority of their time talking rather loudly about anything but the job at hand. We were charged for a drink that we did not order/receive. This was rectified once pointed out, but the attitude was as though we were troubling the staff by our very presence. Disappointing.

There are so many excellent places to eat in Narberth. Sadly this isnt one of them. The service was dreadful, slow and one of the waitresses was sat at a table staring at her phone, leaving the 'trainee' to do it all which she quite evidently couldn't. The food when it arrived was dry and bland. The only redeeming feature was that after pointing out how dreadful it had been, we were given the meal for free, hence why it gets 1 star. My advice, if you are eating out in narberth there are so many better places to eat than here.

Met friends here for lunch but arrived late and kitchen had just closed. But fair-play to the friendly staff they made food for us. I had a tasty hummus and aubergine sandwich which was on the large side, but not complaining! Will definitely visit again when back in area.

Food is overpriced and pretty bad. Bacon sandwich was mostly fat and the chicken Caesar salad was just a bit of dry chicken on some chopped romaine lettuce, and some bland dressing (over £10!) There are also no gluten free options for cake or bread. It’s a shame the food is bad because the decor is nice, the staff are friendly, and it’s obviously in a great location. Really like the plants and flowers outside, and the glass wall round the tables. Good place for a coffee, but very disappointing for food.

Arrived here with my girlfriend looking for a a place to sit and have a cheeky coffee, we were told at the door that there was no room to sit, despite there being lots of empty tables inside and one outside. Moments after we left another couple arrived looking for a table and they were given the outside table without hesitation.

Waited 45 mins for breakfast which included one plate of food which was cold, when it arrived it looked lovely but was not satisfactory and therefore returned.

As locals, we popped in to Narberth buy some veg, decided to try this place (for the first time since it reopened after a major refit) for a coffee. When we saw the lunches being served, we decided to share a 'Fish and Chip sandwich'....

Excellent food and service. Our waitress seemed to be running the show out front, cleaning tables, taking orders, stopping for a chat, she so deserved her tip! We had a love chicken and chorizo sandwich and the kids had Cajun Panko Chicken which loved. Would...

Walked in yesterday with 3 other friends and was glad to grab the last table inside. We only meant to have coffees but saw some lovely sandwiches coming out so ended up sharing two. Staff was really busy but served us in a good time....

This has to be the best Sunday lunch we’ve had in a very long time. Food was amazing, staff were friendly. We would definitely visit again and let our friends know about this fab restaurant

Amazing meals, excellent presentation. Really nicely cooked, very tasty. We had a roast pork and roast beef main, no room for desert. Best roast ever, cleated my plate.

Visited Narberth today and went to the Foam restaurant, we had the best Sunday roast we've ever eaten. It was presented in such a way that it was like stacked up like a tower. As you allow the food the cascade down onto the plate...

Friendly staff, service very slow but breakfast was not good. Ordered Poached eggs with ham served on a muffin- ham was bacon that appeared to be microwave cooked, eggs were hard and the Hollandaise sauce was so vinegary I had to scrap it off. Coffee...

Had food here on father's days and the Sunday roast is by far the best roast I've ever had. The beef was absolutely stunning! It looks amazing and taste just as good. The staff were friendly and very helpful I cannot wait to come back.

Appalling, simply appalling. Ignorant staff, don't expect it to be clean or any kind of customer service. Our second visit believe it or not, only this time we chose to walk out before being served, 15 minutes after being told we will be with you...
