Called in and ordered 2 coffees and two slices of toast and the young lad was going to charge me ÂŁ10.40. I walked out in disgust, thought I would give it another try after having a very poor breakfast with raw sausages. Never will I go back.

The food that I had here was exceptional. I had the gourmet pizza which was very tasty and the dough balls and meat board we had to start was so tasty I could have carried on eating them all day. The staff were really friendly and couldnât do enough for us. Will definitely be returning

Visited with my parents for a light lunch. It did not disappoint. The front of house lady was very polite and had a chat with us, which made us feel welcome. The venue is dog friendly, so our pooch was allowed to sit by us and was given a few treats (on a china plate I should add!). The freshly cooked omelette with cheese and mushroom was tasty and perfect. We also had ice cream on waffles and a toasted sandwich, all of which were generous and delicious.

My wife and I had a lovely meal here. We were looking for somewhere dog friendly and were fortunate enough to stumble on The Ship Aground where they allow dogs in the bar. They fit us in without a booking, despite being quite busy, the food was great and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. The price was also very reasonable considering how nice the food was. Would highly recommend a visit if youâre in the area. We will definitely be coming back when we are next down this way.

Fantastic 2 night stay in the B&B rooms above the family run gastro pub. A warm welcome (even to an Englishman đ) from everyone both sides of the bar! Dog friendly and very much a countryside theme in the decor throughout. Close to many scenic attractions including Carly ruins, long empty beaches and shopping. Several cask ales on draught and a full compliment of wines and spirits. Full menu from breakfasts, lunches, and evening meals using local produce. Real fires and cosy rooms to have your meal. Clean and stylish rooms to relax in afterwards, with a good nightâs sleep.

Really disappointed with Sunday lunch. The restaurant was busy but there were plenty of free table. Drinks arrived promptly but then had to queue for 40 minutes to get served at carvery. When we got to counter they had run short of some options and vegetables. Don't know how people in queue behind us felt. What was annoying was the total Indifference of both manager and staff. They didn't seem at all concerned how customers felt. Will not be returning or recommending
