The best restaurants in Ely Cardiff South Wales

We came to Don Don Yatai for lunch during the Christmas period. I had been craving noodles for a while but had previously been disappointed by other Japanese restaurants so I was very nervous about eating here......however, I was absolutely blown away. The service was amazing from the offset, the lady serving us gave us recommendations and was extremely accommodating. The starters were divine and the main was even better. We were blown away with everything. Everything is reasonably priced and you can tell this restaurant is fuel with love for cooking. I would highly recommend

Booked last minute yesterday for a party of 10 and so glad we ended up here. The food was lovely, great atmosphere and the staff was excellent they was really friendly and went above and beyond even gave birthday girl dessert on the house and we all had a complimentary lemon shot. Would definitely come here again ☺️

This company is now taken over by Grand Wok which is NOT a review for this resturant Always top quality food here and value for money. Recent order was the Hungry mans roll in a tray (Was so big/filling that I had it for brekkie and dinner) Unlike other takeaways where they have more dry bread than actual filling (Greggs)

Best chippy around and great staff

Excellent fish & chips. Always quality white fish (no grey bits here!) Freshly battered and fried fish with a slice of lemon and perfect chips. Usually a 5 - 10 min wait for the fish as it's cooked to order. They do a handy OAP special, too, with a smaller portion, which is great and very handy if you don't fancy a bellybuster portion. Their curry sauce is nice. They do kebabs too (but I've never tried them). Always clean premises with friendly service. Would totally recommend.

Food was terrible, it was like it had been sat there all day ,but we were there early which made it even worse. Won't be going there again. !!!!!!!..This place has gone down hill fast .🤑🤑🤑🤑

El jefe de cocina y la lavadora de botellas trabajan muy duro y, a menudo, se apresuran, por lo que a menudo hay un retraso. El café es bueno y los bocadillos y los pasteles se ven deliciosos. Solo necesito más personal y me sorprende que no acepten una taza reutilizable debido a la "salud y seguridad". Costa y Starbucks no tienen ese problema!

AMAZING food and go0d people aswelll mmmmmmm!

ordered a 9 inch pizza and 12 inch pizza was delivered on time, but both of them were not cooked. I couldn’t believe how raw they were. made a complaint as they replaced all pizzas but the second 12 inch I had to put in my air fryer to be cooked more I will never ever use this place again .

Really nice food and reasonably priced

Weather didn't help delivery so okay with that, but the flavour of the dishes wasn't nice. Something missing. Unpleasant 😒

I liked the taste of pizza. Had the family square pizza special and family bucket deal. Dipps are amazing specially the home made garlic dip. Kinder ice cream and ice cream shake was tried by some amongst us. Everything was perfect. Parking is free. Disable friendly entrance and the sitting. Cooperative staff and quick service.

Honestamente Costa Coffee es uno de mis favoritos, pero últimamente en Cardiff todas las tiendas de Costa están muy sucias, es increíble cómo el personal no parece preocuparse. Muy triste.
