The best restaurants in Cadnant Isle of Anglesey North Wales

Disappointing experience. We were drawn in by the prix fixe menu which made it look like you got a salad starter then a choice of steak or mussels and frites with extras and sides but nothing else was included apart from the mussels or steak and frites, not even the salad so not sure why it would be termed a prix fixe menu. My wife had a dozen mussels that were not open. I had the 4 tapas style dishes for £21 which portion wise were good but only the calamari and garlic bread were enjoyable for me. For a Friday night there were only 4 tables occupied but the food still took 40 mins to arrive.

Excellent choices on the menu. Plenty of filling in the baps. Good selection of local cakes Nice welsh welcome is always a bonus

We've used menai kebab for many years but will be giving it a miss moving forward. Misreble rude staff who apparently don't do 'crispy chips'. Just cook them a little longer it's quite simple! The chicken kebab was over cooked and bland with very little marinade. The kofta is also dry and over cooked. The prices have gone through the roof too, 27.00 for a large kebab and small kebab. Joke. Shame as it used to be decent. Maybe it's changed hands ?? Either way I won't be rushing back.

Just been served the smallest and worst tasting portion of chips ever. I asked the lad serving if that’s all I was getting and instead of answering me he chose to totally ignore me. Been going there for years but never again.

We had cheesy bean jacket spud and cheese caramelised onion toastie and creamy chicken soup - loved it washed down with a pot of tea and a coffee latte coffee 😋

My friend and I went to the Anglesey Arms this afternoon for lunch. We both had the steak and ale pie and it was absolutely delicious! 10/10! Staff were very lovely, spot on service. Will absolutely be back again for that lovely pie! And the amazing service is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
