Absolutely gorgeous Sunday lunch with homemade yorkies, lovely roasties, mash, a veg - everything fresh and really tasty and great value. Highly recommend!
Cheap and awful ingredients, toasty price was £8.95 was told it would come with a nice salad and coleslaw and crisps, 1/4 of a leaf of lettuce 1 slice of cucumber and not even a full slice of tomato, spoon of coleslaw and about 4 crisps!
The bread was the cheapest you could buy in Asda the no frills one!
£28 for 2 toasties, wedges, a child’s beans on toast and a child glass of milk, no teas or coffee as we already had.
My daughter asked for mayonnaise it came in a thimble of a size she had to get up and ask for sauces in the beginning, when she asked for more due to the amount given they said are you sure?! The staff were miserable and didn’t ask if we needed a spoon for my grandson to eat his beans, hadn’t even been given a fork.
Wasn’t busy but could be a gold mine managed correctly plus food needs to be upgraded, Asda and a greasy cafe do better quality meals.
Extortionate prices, I wouldn’t mind pay that price for a lovey seeded toastie with a proper size salad
Nice little tea and cake shop but as soon as I walked in there, there was that many wasps just landing on the food, food not having any lids on top of them to insure flys and wasps don’t land on them would go back because they are tasty but definitely recommend they put something’s over the sweet surgery cakes as it does attract wasps to them not nice knowing flys have landed on them and then it’s going in our mouths
Bar service was garbage. Whilst waiting for barrel to be changed I was looking at the menu. When drink was brought over girl sloshed a load over menu I was reading and then over the table , she never said a word or even cleaned up, just looked at us and walked off. The beer itself was flat and nothing like it should of tasted like. Good knows why but we still ordered food. Pizza was ok. Jacket potato’s ok but burger was tasteless full of gristle and grease. Horrible.
Stayed for 2 nights with a group of 12 golfers. The Dunoon offers excellent accommodation and great food. The atmosphere is welcoming and slightly old fashioned, but our group love it. Wide range of choice for breakfast, the same for dinner. The waiting staff are excellent, and very attentive. No request is too difficult. The small snug room at the front of the hotel is great for an after dinner drink and chat. Hotel is well positioned and has easy parking nearby. One highlight of our stay was when one of the waiting staff joined in our impromptu after dinner quiz. Unique and slightly quirky; we’ll be back next year. Thanks.
My husband came home today to tell me what a fabulous breakfast he had today. A warm welcome from Sarah, piping hot food and very very reasonably priced.
He will be back with our neighbour Nick
Shocking service half an hour wait with 2 people in front absolute joke food was cold plenty of other places to go do your self a favour go those take your money and just serve uber eats and all the other delivery services never again and through the window the guy by the pizza oven all he did was run his fingers through the cheese enjoy that on you pizza by the way
We enjoyed 3 different and very tasty meals. Lots of flavour and generous portion sizes too. The salt and chilli chips were especially yummy!
Friendly and efficient service, also worth noting absolutely brilliant covid-aware set up of the collection point. Thank you :)
