Whilst in Jedburgh we thought we would stop in. Unfortunately, the cafe is now close but they do still have a takeaway shop around the back (well signposted). The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They described each item well and gave us recommendations. There wasnât an abundance of selection but that is a positive because it suggests they focus on quality over quantity. I went for the charcoal salmon and cream cheese bagel. It doesnât sound appealing but it was nice. The bagel was chewy and the filling was decent. I also got an almond croissant which was large and had a good pastry to filling ratio. I did find that some bites of the pastry was drier than others but it was still a very good croissant. My wife got a apple crumble cruffin which was sweet and again had plenty of filling. She wasnât blown away by it but it was quite nice. My mother in-law also got the almond croissant which she also enjoyed. Overall for all that it was ÂŁ18.50 which for a bakery is very expensive in my opinion. I do like the shop as its cute and has a variety of loafs and I get the impression they change the items frequently.

This is undoubtedly the home of the best bacon rolls and fruit scones in Edinburgh. We moved office and still have our weekly roll run here as tried others near our new office and nothing compares. Lovely staff and food always fresh and of a good quality. Good variety at lunchtime too. Support local and try it out.

On cold and very wet December days, this cafe was a great place to warm up. I suspect it would be a great 'slice of Italy' at any time of the year. Excellent hot and tasty panini, homemade scones and hot coffee...very welcome and much needed. Great attentive and friendly staff. We will ready return (and have) to this great cafe. For us, a bonus is that it is nowhere near the city centre.

My friends took me to the đT Lounge today for lunch and what an amazing place it is. All food and drinks are expertly and passionately prepared by the owner . We shared the pork and spring onion Bengs to start followed by the Tempura chickenđ breast strips and jasmine rice with spicy chips đon the side all of which were cooked to order and were so flavoursome. The portions were more than ample and left us all full we had to resist the temptation of the lovely plum tart The owner is such a lovely, warm friendly person which is reflected in the decor and atmosphere. Well worth a visit as it will not dissapoitment

Another excellent meal at Ravenscourt House. Delicious homemade soup and couldnât resist having the Carbonara again. The Bruschetta, Seafood Tagliatelle and Duck Ragu also looked very good and all were generous portions. The service was very welcoming and friendly so it was a great evening.

Great wee spot for a burger place, right next to the ferry, centre of town. Very tasty burgers, staff are always friendly. Get great value for money and is by far one of the best food places on the island.

This restaurant/hotel was closed for a while and this was our first chance to visit since it reopened. The service was excellent as was the food. Good restaurants seem to be few and far between nowadays. All we get are national brands, so its good to see an independent offering a great night out.

We stayed at Windlestraw for the last night of our summer roadtrip. It was amazing and the food of a level we were not expecting. It was a set menu, everyone gathered for canapes and pre-dinner drinks in the lovely garden room before going through to the elegant dining room. I failed at a task I usually much better at and only took a couple of photos as I was enjoying my meal too much but every course was presented as beautifully as the two I did remember to immortalise.
