A quick stop off after our tour at the centre. Our wee boy enjoyed his pop dots with chocolate sauce. All OK but not as good as Aviemore. I was queuing at the till point and then people who came along after me got served first, at the ice cream counter. If there is a clear way to queue please put a sign up!

As the first and only La Casa Del Habano in Scotland, this place is certainly special. Aside from the incredible food, the plethora of drinks and spirits, this destination spot has one of the most beautiful humidors I have seen. This isn't just because of the decor and presentation; it's also because it's full of some of my all-time favorite cigars. The selection is something to truly admire. Not to mention the staff—what a lovely team of people who have always made my trip memorable and enjoyable.

Phoned up last minute for a burger & cake. Station bistro did not disappoint 🤤 I got a chicken burger with halloumi, bacon with slaw & maple syrup with sesame seeds for on my burger. The bun was toasted just the right amount, chicken was cooked too perfection.. Bacon was just the right amount of crisp and the halloumi was also fab (usually halloumi can be a hit or miss and quite rubbery anywhere else) but I would highly recommend getting it on your burger. I have a very sweet tooth and the biscoff brownie hit the spot. The staff are so lovely aswell. Will 110% be back ❤️

If I lived in Nairn, this would be my go-to café every day. The freshly made food is extremely tasty and the selection is extensive. The naturally endearing charisma of the owner, and her staff, add an extra satisfying portion of decadent spice. High streets everywhere need a place like this..

Visited the cafe for an imformal meeting with friends. I was really impressed by the furntiture, fittings and decor. Warm welcome from staff. Excellent bacon roll with coleslaw & salad on the side and great coffee. A gem of a cafe in St Clair Street. We will be back again.

Tucked away on Orbiston Street (behind Windmillhill Street) this is a cafe you could easily miss but well it's worth seeking it out. Parking is available and there's an outside seating area for those sunny Motherwell days. Run by Hope United Church, this welcoming, family friendly cafe space serves excellent freshly prepared food (paninis, wraps, baked potatoes, Scottish breakfasts, home made soup) and some of the best coffee in Motherwell. The only downside is... it's currently only open on Fridays and Saturdays. A great spot for an end of week treat.

My wife and I spent a few days in Edinburgh, and Preacher’s became my coffee spot. The people are very nice, and the coffee and food are delicious. I had a very nice egg and cheese sandwich one day and a pastry the next. I like my coffee pretty basic, so I had an unsweetened latte. It was nice, rich coffee. I would definitely recommend Preacher’s.

Visited here on Wednesday for a coffee and cake/ roll. Waitress came for our order but we weren’t quite ready. We then waited for 20 minutes with no one coming over to offer service. Meanwhile we were watching one member of staff working flat out to make coffees whilst 4 others flirted, laughed and joked with each other behind the service counter. We tried to catch the attention of the non working group behind the counter by holding our arm up etc but were totally ignored. Eventually I went up to the counter to ask for service (sorry to spoil your fun guys) informing them that we were actually about to leave as we’d been ignored for so long. They then all separated and disappeared and someone else appeared for our order. This arrived quickly and was of a good standard. Before we’d quite finished one of the girls from the flirting group came over and whisked away a plate and cup. I was not finished and my friend had only just swallowed his last mouthful of coffee. She was definitely ‘in a huff’. Later we tried to get attention to pay the bill. Guess what- we just went up to the counter in the end. We won’t be back even though we are locals. 3 stars is for the food and coffee -0 stars for those particular staff.

Recently re-opened as a restaurant after being a wedding-only venue for several years. Beautiful country house in a lovely rural setting. Staff are very welcoming and looked after us very well. Food was great - modern Scottish. Overall feels like a really high-end experience, but at prices similar to many St Andrews restaurants.
