I took a friend who I owed a lunch to & as I drove through New Cumnock he spotted a cafe open. It was a delight to find this lovely cafe selling Greek food. We had coffee, traditional Greek pie(homemade) followed by baklava & a cinnemon iced bun. We chatted to the owner who had moved here from Athens to be cloe to his Mother in Glasgow. The coffee was so good we had a second cup. On paying the price was reasonable at £22.80 for two. We have already recommemded to friends & neighbours & will return. Open 7am until 4pm.

Had a wonderful lunch today at Sophie's Cafe after a jaw dropping drive through Mennock pass and Lead Hills. Food was great, service was excellent and the place was brightly decorated and clean. Prices were great! For example:£3.00 for the penne with chicken special with salad, coleslaw and bread. We will definitely do lunch there again!

Best pub in New Cumnock by far! Brilliant staff, amazing atmosphere and cheap drink! Karaoke nights are different class with the best DJ’s in East Ayrshire! Love the brig and always will. Always a good laugh.

Thoroughly enjoyed the rolls and sausage and bacon from here the other day. Needed a warming in the cold wet weather and this wee kiosk was surprisingly good. Decent sausage and bacon prepared properly and served efficiently. If you are at the Bus Station go and check it out for yourself, you will not be disappointed

My wife and i visited for lunch today. This was our second visit to the Clydesdale restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service we received during our visit was excellent. Our waitress was attentive but not interfering. This contributed greatly to our enjoyment of the meal. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and you feel relaxed and comfortable in this setting. The Clydesdale offers a different dining option and is an asset to the area.

We had a pleasant dinner in the Library at Dumfries House as part of a Christmas Festive Candlelit Tour of the house. With extravagant Christmas decorations the setting for a festive dinner was superb. Service by the young staff was very good and the dinner satisfactory though no choice. It was traditional Christmas fare but somewhat dry, overcooked turkey while the smoked salmon with salmon mousse was perfect. I would do it again!

On a cold day and in need of something hot to eat we popped into the Coffee Pot while passing through Cumnock. More of a traditional cafe than coffee shop they have a decent menu of Scottish favourites such as macaroni cheese and chips, mince and chips, haggis, soups etc., and a selection of hot filled rolls (including a roll ‘n mince) as well as more exotic fare such as chicken tempura. We chose a couple of ranch burgers that were perfectly cooked, nicely presented and very tasty. Service was warm and friendly and, all in all, this is a super cafe.

My wife and i called in to Millie's for the first time recently and we were glad we did. The food was very good and the service was too. We both had the cooked breakfast which included tea or coffee and toast. At £5.99 we thought this very good value for money. We could recommended it and will visit again.

The photos of the venue on tripadvisor are not of the actual place. It is a takeaway, with 3 booths and a few tables, which look like they have been pulled out of an old closed down restaurant. This place cannot be classed as a restaurant. All the fast food takeaway customers are coming and going and the delivery drivers are sitting about. We ordered 2 starters, 2 curries, a mixed xxl kebab and some drinks. The curries were decent, no complaints, the kebab was anaemic looking, on asking they said they had cooked it in an oven as opposed to a grill or tandoor. If nowhere else is available, and you need a meal, then take your chance, I will be avoiding in the future, bill for 3 was £52, certainly not cheap for a small town.

We had the light and full breakfast. Both of us really enjoyed and found the portion sizes perfect. I had an iced coffee that wasn’t the best, maybe too watery but didn’t ruin the experience. Such a lovely view on to the grounds aswell. Our waiter had good banter aswell

Great staff, very attentive and happy, the smiles were contagious. Jamie-Lee was taking care of us, great energy. Lovely food, chef changed it up for us to our liking which is greatly appreciated. If there's anything I'd add is maybe a little background music.

Nice quality food - pricier side of cafe fodder but not unexpected from the venue as a whole. Minor issue with not knowing what a Panini is when serving crusty baguette roll - the overall quality/taste was very good. Decent Coleslaw rather than the budget catering watery affair usually found. Pre-packed sandwiches with no option to create your own, Captive audience but plenty of room in the park for your own picnics. £46 for 4.
