Entered the cafe and smiled at the only person working there (dark haired woman), then asked politely if they are dog friendly. The server was very rude and abrupt with her response, quoting council regulations at me and telling me there are no dog friendly cafes in Jedburgh, except one on the outskirts. Obviously customer service is not her forte! Place looked quite dingy and like it could do with a clean/decorated. Cakes sitting out did not look fresh or appealing. Had the appearance of a cafe in a nursing home or something. Not good.

What a cosy little café - dog friendly too. Stopped on a really cold day, and received a warm welcome and a delicious cheese and cauliflower soup. Was tempted, too, by an amazing array of cakes.

Ordered online to collect. Positives: Online ordering and payment simple and pain free. Given an estimated time for collection and received a prompt message from the restaurant at the exact stated time to confirm our order was ready. The Tarka Dahl was tasty. We had three main dishes, and there was a discernible difference in their individual flavours, which is a positive. Not so positive: For many of the dishes there is a choice of proteins eg lamb, prawn. One option is ‘chicken’, and another is ‘chicken tikka’ - which is £3.40 more than ‘chicken’. My understanding of tikka is that the meat is marinated and then cooked or barbecued in an oven. Well, I feel that the ‘chicken tikka’ in the dishes we received had not been cooked in this way, ours was anaemic rather odd looking chicken shapes, and was not worth the extra £3.40 we were charged. The lamb dish we chose did not have much meat in it. This is the only curry house in Jedburgh, so they have a captive audience. It’s not terrible, but I wouldn’t rush back. The portions of spiced onions and ‘mango chutney’ (probably just mango purée) were less than generous.

So me and my partner visit Kelso once a year and we usually stop in to see what fresh bread and pastries are on offer. We were in last Saturday and we were disappointed with the pastries and coffee we received. Pastry was dense and coffee was cold. For the price paid and the experience I dont think we'll stop by again.

Close to Jedburgh Centre it was certainly worth a stop and there were some good deals. There is ample parking and the staff were very friendly.

The worst food I haver ever experienced., I just ate here and I feel actually ill and robbed. Cash only as well. Who ever is running this business does not know how to cook, fry or even make gravy. This business should be looked at by someone from the Food & Trading standards.
