Arrived here to use my free drinks award ,I couldn't get signed on to the WiFi,,the two lovely young girls on Sunday afternoon were a great help to me ,getting me the WiFi code .They were both extremely helpful and courteous,,,I didn't get there names ,but they are definitely an asset to Costa Coffee Hawick .

Wonderful to have a COSTA in Hawick at last. A decent cup of coffee and these cakes… Nice too to see local staff and not the usual parade of students. Very helpful and accommodating.

Nice layout and pleasant service, but spoilt by my double espresso not being hot enough! Never come across this in any other Costa

As it was a dreich day, decided to have a sit down lunch at this relatively new Costa, rather than a takeaway from Greggs next door, however I soon regretted my decision. The service could've been friendlier for a start. We didn't have to wait long for our food, however it was brusquely deposited onto the table by the member of staff who couldn't be bothered to engage with us whatsoever. The decor of the place was rather dingy and down at heel, the rear seating area acually reminding me of a Wimpy bar.Worst of all, the place was overrun by a gang of very noisy unaccompanied children, who were clearly making a nuisance of themselves running amok through the restaurant, however the staff made no effort to move them on. We got the impression they must've been chased from next door as one of them was eating out of a Greggs bag!We didn't have any complaints about the food and drink, however we won't be rushing back to this Costa anytime soon.

Boxing Day. Went for a tea, a latte and 2 cakes. My order was taken, drinks prepared and I stood there at the counter waiting for my cakes which the girl had forgotten about.....no apology for the unnecessary wait. Whilst waiting I could not help thinking how low the hygiene and cleaning standards were. This place only open a matter of days and already dirty. The staff too lazy to empty a bin and would rather throw rubbish on the floor. Toilets messy. Table bases marked with food debris. Girls preferring to chat rather than keep the place looking clean and nice for customers. Felt like they think keeping the place clean is beneath them - but where is their pride?Latte was so weak we took it back. Girl said it was meant to be that weak as it was a small latte. Not in other Costas in my experience....With the same poor attitude was given a cappuccino. That was mostly foam, hardly any actual coffee - and cold. Took it back and asked for a refund. Grudgingly given with no apology.Greggs next door half the price and clean. Loads of cafes that deserve business. Up your game Costa.https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g186508-d9791801-r641586508-Costa_Coffee-Peebles_Scottish_Borders_Scotland.html#

Newly opened in Hawick and located in the middle of the High Street, this new Costas is an excellent coffee shop. Tastefully furnished and of a decent size, this is one of the best Costas that I’ve visited in recent years. It was formerly a WH Smith’s store but it unrecognisable now. Lovely seating area and good staff, can highly recommend

Called here today and had one of the best pizzas I have ever tasted. Lovely staff too, would thoroughly recommend.

Great food indeed, very good quality friendly staff, only downside it did take a while. Ham hock starter was to die for and the steak was perfection. The dessert certainly hit the spot. Certainly what you need after a long day in the saddle.

Sadly now seem to be closed. Unfortunately the Main Street of Jedburgh offers nothing in the way of dog friendly cafes... the only town in our trip across central Scotland to have that issue.
