I'm afraid I won't be back. Went to use the facilities and I went into toilets and heard giggling didn't hang around but imagine my dismay when 2 of your cleaners came out of said toilets doing up trousers and straightening themselves up!. Absoloutley disgusting. I've the names of both. To say I'm appalled is an understatement. I came in to shop not witness sex acts. In uniform at the workplace! I'll be informing my friends and family. If this is how you allow your staff to behave! Disgusting if my daughter had been with me and saw that I'd have rang the polis straight away!

I walked up 2 sainsburys to find that the only lemon cake there was sainsburys own make. Now, ive never tried this brand and my heart told me no, but my stomach said yes. I sat outside on the bench and took one bite. My mouth felt like the sahara desert - more dryer than my booty and thats saying something as its usually shooting out diarrhoea. Will defos not be back. Shocking. Sainsburys - use less flour and more milk. :)

Went in this morning to do a small shop and happened to pass dogs water dish the store leaves outside for customers dogs. The water was brown and I thought a slug was in the bowl. I looked closer and it was a cigarette butt. Disgusted, I picked the bowl up and took it to Customer Services. The women there told me to put the bowl back outside, they didnt deal with it. I refused to put it back outside. Would you want your dog to drink from it? I certainly wouldnt. I asked to get the manager They then took the bowl, and cleaned the bowl . I double checked before I left the shop. Shame on the employees of this store. So please, people, check the water bowl before your dog goes to drink from it. The store employees obviously dont really care about your pets.

Visiting my sister we popped to see a full Scottish in the menu and living in the depths of England we opted for it. Food arrived very quickly considering it was fairly busy and joy of joys square sausage cooked just right. Been several times when we come up and in fairness never been disappointed.

Great cafe, lovely menu options. Great healthy alternatives, vegetarian options, kids menu is great and all the other things you would expect like cooked breakfast and Fish & Chips. Coffee is great and stands up well against any of the branded coffee chains. Highly recommend

Need more tables with cushioned seats asap uncomfortable on hard wood ones.sin complaint about this store is that it is always freezing. Have you ever heard of a shop with air conditioning on in the winter??? Even the staff complain but totally ignored when customers complain too. The cafe food is fine. The staff are terrific. Wear heavy clothes in the summer due to cold wind from air conditioning and wear layers of cardies in the winter.

On the whole its better than other Sainsbury cafe but some visits have not been great. Baked potato with beans and cheese sat on top of the SIDE salad was awful. Hot wilted salad leaves are not nice! Too much grease on plate with breakfasts or brunch a couple of times and barely cooked pork links. Most of the staff are really helpful and customer service orientated and special mention for the male member of staff (name starts with Li ) who jumped to it when I dropped a teapot full of hot water. Tables left too long to be wiped and customers having to use napkins to do it themselves drop my usual 5 stars down.

Nothing to criticise except that fish wouldn't be ready for an hour and it appears that they would no longer be supplying fair trade tea. If that was not the case would be five star.

Why am I a regular? Great coffee delivered with a smile and a word.If you haven't had one of their café toasted tea cakes, you are in for a treat. Infinitely better than the ones instore, they come swimming with butter and are chewy and moist.Their flat white (choice of red, green or blue) is the equal of any barista offering.Café staff are friendly and welcoming, even to the extent of remembering your preference. The wi-fi is good too; tables and chairs plus comfy leather tubs for singles couples and families.Grub's sound, with a reasonably priced range of café staples.Altogether, highly recommended

The cafe at this sainsburys is an immaculate and pleasant venue, just right for a wee stop and feed. No bells and whistles, what you ask for is what you get at great value. The staff are friendly and efficient, I have stopped here a number of times during my working day and found it to be always busy but never overfilled and the food is always served promptly and always tastes great. What we have come to expect from such a huge chain.

This Sainsbury's is, to be completely candid and fair, not bad for the size of it. Price wise, there are many good deals, but Lidl just down the road is definitely cheaper on most products and items, especially flowers and garden plants. The staff are quite attentive and helpful, most are anyway, but the real problem is the unbelievably slow service in the adjoining café. There is no sense of urgency or getting things done in an expeditious fashion by the members of staff there and it really is enough to put me off from going as often as I would normally otherwise go.

Visiting a customer in the area and called in for breakfast.Didn't get what I asked for and the mushroom (1 solitary mushroom that cost 70p !) was so overcooked that it was inedible. I know I'm English and don't speak the language up there but I thought my order was easy enough ?The rest of the food was OK - but only OK.Sainsbury's brekky is normally a decent meal but this was not good at all. Next time I will try one of the hotels in the town, there must be better out there ! try somewhere else

Ordered 2 adult meals of fish and chips, and kids meals of chicken nuggets and chips, 2 coffee'sstarted off okay, went at a quieter time, saturday 18th july, around 6pm, trust the other half to find a table next to a total odd ball, with 4 glasses of water and ice lined up on their table, buy hey ho takes allsorts these days, 20 mins passed still no food coffee's drank kids starting to get squiming in their seats Then it arrived we were presented with fish that was so curled up dripping in disgusting grease and of a burnt dark tan coulour same with the chips, the kids chicken nuggets would require a circular saw to cut in half, needless to say we did pull them up about it, the member of staff all she could say was yeah ... yeah .... yeah when I was trying to tell her, not one word, of sensible customer service, till I came out of the toilet and she gave us a full refund, will be sticking to tesco's in future

Although it doesn't have an extensive menu there is enough to satisfy most people. Soup is always tasty served with bread and butter, range of tosties and Panini's with various fillings and baked potatoes, I love the chilli beans filling. Has a nice warm kick to it and served with a salad which has always been the freshest ever. The squash and red pepper lasagne is also a favourite served with garlic bread and salad. Usual cookedbreakfasts, fish and chips, macaroni and others mean you should have a decent meal. I've never had anytbing but piping hot tasty meals at really good prices. Staff are very friendly and eager to help. Free parking of course and a petrol station with the town being a short drive away makes it an ideal place to stop pick up shopping and get well fed then see the local sights

When this branch of Sainsburys opened I thought the cafe was great - good food, good prices, personable staff. Even the noise levels aren't too bad - something that puts me off a lot of supermarket cafes. But recently it's gone badly downhill. Slow service, often lukewarm food, and if you're later in the day the food often tastes as if it's been warming all day. Buy a coffee while you wait for lunch and it's cold by the time the meal arrives. Uncleared (or cleared but visibly dirty) tables often have you hunting for a seat. Plus -recently - prices seem to be steadily climbing. The last straw recently is a clear-your-own-table policy - just not on. I don't clear a table of a meal I've just paid for - quite apart from wondering that if customers do the clearing, how often are tables cleaned. The cafe is quite clearly understaffed, probably by a management that doesn't grasp that their cafe has a PR dimension as well as a profit one. I'd be very sorry if this review ended up affecting the staff, who I still find polite, attentive and patient. But as a retired manager of some decades experience, I know a management attitude when I see one.Sainsburys isn't the cheapest supermarket in this area. But I found it convenient to shop there as I used the cafe. But I'm afraid if the cafe doesn't appeal, they've lost my shopping too. Something for management to think about.More of a shame than anything else - they started out fine.

Lovely proper bookshop with a cafe and deli. We were just after a quick coffee but couldn't resist trying the delicious cakes. The flat white was good, strong and hot but rather a small cup. Cakes were as good as they looked. Bought a few books for the Grandchildren and had a browse around the well stocked deli. Loved spotting authors we knew from the pictures on the wall. Will visit again when in the area.

Very disappointed, arrived for lunch bringing my brother and wife as they are on holiday, had to wait 10 minutes to be seated although there was an empty table where we were standing, we were given menu's then totally ignored for the next quarter of an hour, a young waitress saw us and I asked could we place an order (we were going to have a 3 course lunch) she said yes and then went over and chatted with another waiter, after a further 5 minutes we decided to leave and go into kelso, we went to a place in kelso and were treated correctly and served immediately.

This was our second visit to Loulabelle's, the other being in 2023. Lots of delicious food plus friendly staff. We had lunch before visiting a nearby attraction, then nipped back for tea and a cake afterwards. Not cheap, but everything is delicious. The decorations include some great pictures.
