Peebles Chinese Take Away in Scottish Borders

I would give it 4 stars but last night's take away terrible not nice I wanted Singapore fried rice I like the noodles to .but when it came it basically was a chicken and ham fried rice with wee drop chillis cut in .not impressed at all cheaper getting chicken and ham rice ive had this from mandarin and it's beautiful got veggies in different meats although I have to ask to miss out prawns yuck.my husband got special curry said the chicken was not nice and his rice was nutty .not happy meals before have been lovely but you pay money you expect better . Won't be back for wee while .

Chichen maryland: the chips were terrible and uneatable. A sausage was terrible, the chicken was okay a bit greasy. The fritters were okay. It wasn't the best meal I've had by far. I wouldn't recommend this takeaway. 🥲

Great service and amazing family run Chinese takeaway. We were staying at Glentress and collected, the food was on-time and lovely. Would recommend it if you are staying in the area.

We were staying in Scotland for a week and decided to try out this chinese. On arrival, the service was fast and efficient and the food was piping hot and freshly made. The prices and portion sizes were also very good. Would highly recommend!

Was charged more than any Chinese meal ever for 3 meals at £27 honestly would not have minded if all the food had been edible but the chicken chowmain was dry and chicken disgusting, luckily the other two meals weren't to bad , would not recommend 😞 .

I phoned ahead whilst driving and it was ready on time. Generous portions and really delicious. Polite, pleasant service.

Missed an item from my order otherwise 5* Food was very tasty, recommended. (I asked for a mushroom fu young with egg fried rice and sweet n sour chicken. I didn't get the fu young, but I don't think I was charged for it.)

The meal is the worst Chinese takeout I have ever had. The meal was inedible. The pork was full off fat. You couldn’t chew it. The rice was hard. The best part was the prawn crackers. I will never use it again and I will never recommend it to anyone

Super fast delivery is the only positive. £17.90 for beef curry, fried rice and chips. Beef was tough and unpleasant to eat. Salt and chilli chips were soggy and filled with onion skins. Actually felt quite sick during/after this. Most ended up in bin. Final straw was finding a hair in the curry 🤮

Pretty poor service - hadn't a clue regarding gluten free options not good as my wife is Coeliac and a very young person dealing with order - not fair on them but the owner hadn't a clue either. A little scary with all the food allergies these days. Won't be back

30 quid at this chinese and not a single free prawn cracker, food is good though, special fried rice was really dry everything else was good

Worst food I've had in a long time. ordered Crispy beef and got foul smelling and slimly something. I think it may have actually have been rotten. Instinctively spat out the first mouthful. Go to the Lychee instead!!

Awful. Don't go here unless you like all your food drowning in tasteless goop. Every dish was 3 parts sauce to 1 part meat and vegetables.
