Basic, but satisfactory coffee house. Really at the centre of town, so the few seats outside are great to people watch

We were greeted by no greeting, tried to engage in a bit of conversation with the woman behind the counter to no avail. The coffee was fine but we were handed a filthy glass for a cold drink and were passed another filthy glass, did not eat anything as there were flies in the glass cabinet and on a dirty cloth behind the counter. Only visit the loo if you’re desperate! Such a shame as in a prime spot in centre of town, could be a wee goldmine!

We popped in on a Monday afternoon, only three people in and the waitress, obviously all locals but all smiles so that was nice. We only ordered two teas and prices were average so no complaints there. Cleanliness, it was not clean! Tea cups and tea pot were all visibly stained, maybe they were clean and fresh out the dishwasher but they didn’t look it. The cafe itself looked like it needed a good clean, and it smelled very strongly of grease. The toilet! If nothing else please clean your toilet! It’s the main reason I’ve given only one star and it really isn’t a difficult thing to do to keep facilities clean. We won’t be back and it’s a real shame, cafe is in a lovely little spot and the menu of food available seemed good I just couldn’t bear to eat there.

We stopped here for lunch and had a really good Leek and Potato soup. My friend who is addicted to Lemon Meringue, also had a slice of theirs and pronounced it Very Good. In fact we stopped for Tea on the way back and he had another slice! Recommended.

I hate to give bad reviews but I came in on Saturday afternoon as it looks a lovely little place but just as I was about to order I saw how dirty the place was.Chopping board covered in all kinds, cleanly now being cleaned between use. Flys all over the place.Worst thing was the coffee & tea stained coffee & tea cups. Glass latte cups all stained and ready to be used.Totally discussing at the best of time but in the middle of a pandemic were everyone is more aware then something needs to be done. Coffee & tea cups needs to be rinsed before being put into a commercial dishwasher, if that isnt working then better quality chemicals or use of tannin powder .Also chopping boards need to be sanitised between use and not left all day with different food types.I looked about and made an excuse that I'd left my wallet in the car, couldn't get out fast enough.

First time we have used this coffee shop. The lady was lovely, we ordered two coffees and then we got our eyes on the carrots cake. We also ordered two. The lady said she would get two fresh ones out of the fridge. Everything was lovely. The coffee was ÂŁ2.00 a cup and cakes ÂŁ1.50 each not a bad price. We will go their again. L We enjoyed just sitting beside a monument having this.

We had a lovely day in Jedburgh and stopped off at Coffee corner as it looked nice from the outside. The coffee was ok, however had to listen to the women behind the counter while she sorted out her sons EBAY account that had apparently been hacked. The other thing which topped it off was the greasy smokey smell, which became so bad we left prematurely, guessing the extraction needs sorting out.

A lovely little shop right in downtown. We bought a coffee and tea, along with two pastries: a lemony muffin with a luscious surprise filling and an iced sandwich biscuit with jam. Both were delicious and fresh-baked. The shopkeeper was friendly and helpful, too.

I suppose things go wrong in all establishments and to a certain extent you should judge a place by the way they put things right. On the plus side the coffee was good, the prices fair and there was a nice friendly lady serving.I'll refrain from detailing what went wrong but the server blamed the supplier, replaced the item and made no charge for that part of the meal so well done for handling a tricky situation.

The perfect place to take a break while exploring the town centre. The Coffee Corner is small and weather-permitting has a couple of tables on the pavement outside. A fairly standard choice of cakes, cookies and sandwiches. Service is quick, friendly and welcoming. I might have rated it higher but this is a good average small town cafe, there was no 'sparkle dust' that made it stand out above the others. There are a couple of steps down into the cafe - perhaps difficult for wheelchair users.

We were staying in Jedburgh and decided to call here for a quick bite no one in except the owner she made our coffee l had a cheese scone and my husband had a toasted teacake, we both enjoyed the snack, she explained that there was a festival on at the bottom end of town that was why it was quiet in Jedburgh, she had only recently taken over the business we wish her well would definitely call again

Called in here by chance while wandering through the town on holiday. Only two seats available as cafe busy but we thought that was a good sign so sat down. Pleasant waitress took our order and we didn't have to wait that long for our meals to arrive. The food (toasted sandwiches) was overflowing the plates and had plenty of variety in it. Excellent meals, good service and the bill was very, very reasonable. I would go as far to say that this was the best quality and value for money throughout our 5 weeks tour of the Borders & the Highlands.

Having visited many cafes, in Jedburgh this has to be the most welcoming. The young owner (now 17yrs old I believe) makes home made scones fresh every morning, soup and all manner of home baking and is very reasonable with her prices. The lady who complained about the price of the soft drinks in a previous review, perhaps should visit the opticians further down the road - maybe she was confused between a 0 and 8! Soft drinks are only ÂŁ1.00. As for the tables being sticky, I agree it would appear that the bleach products used to clean the tables (which was done everytime the table was vacated) has an adverse effect with the varnish, something I believe Amy is trying to resolve. Give the young girl a break, having started this venture at 16 years of age, it says a great deal about her determination to succeed.I for one will definitely be returning for a steaming hot latte and a fantastic cherry scone!Well done young lady for making a go of it.

I actually read of the Corner Cafe on Tripadvisor, and decided to give it a visit on my next stop in Jedburgh. I wasn't disappointed!!After visiting the Corner Cafe, I'll never again bother with the 2 downmarket smash and grab caffs masquerading as coffee shops on the main road..... The Corner Cafe is run ( owned ? ) by a very friendly young lady, who gave my colleague and I a warm welcome. The cafe was half full, pretty good for 11.30 on a wet Thursday morning in November. We both had coffee... EXCELLENT QUALITY!! and I tried the cheese scone, which was top notch. My colleague had the cherry scone which he much enjoyed, as he put it. We stayed here for longer than planned... and treated ourselves to more coffee, and I decided I couldn't pass on the cherry scone, being partial to home cooking especially of this calibre. The Corner Cafe is now the number one stop for me in Jedburgh, only 1 minute from the main road, easy parking and a friendly welcome.I also noticed that there were quite a few more people coming in from 12 noon for lunch, and a steady flow of people collecting take away sandwiches etc, also for lunch, I'd assume.Well worth the mini detour to visit here! You'll LOVE it!

Called in today (2/11/2012) completely on the off chance while passing through Jedburgh and stopping off for a break. I have to say I was served with the best latte I have had in a very long time.Way better than anything the well known international franchises serve. Creamy, hot and lots of flavour! I was so impressed I just had to ask the owner ( I think) what coffee beans she used. She even showed me a pack so I could obtain them myself if I wanted. If I'm in or near Jedburgh again I will definitely be calling in for another coffee.

We'd already spotted this small cafe on the corner of Market Place, but checked with a local shop-to be told it had only just opened, under new management! So, that's where we had our coffee break, on the way to Corbridge.A delicious smell of home baking pleased our noses, as we opened the door and all baked by sixteen year old Amy, who's been baking since she was a small girl.Freshly baked scones were being put on display as we approached the counter and we bought a couple for our onward journey. I had the cheese and onion and it was very tasty. Monika went for the sultana one, but she's a bit set in her ways. The coffee was very good and very hot.I've given a "Good" because I know this young lady is going to get better and better. What I suggest is painting the walls a rich pink and putting up some nice landscaapes-as well as serving hot drinks in pretty cups and saucers.Nice feminine touches and Amy and her Mum are on to a winner! What we did really like was the ferocious pursuit of a stray wasp with a fiercesome zapper!Do, please, call in on your way to Some Where. You'll get a warm welcome and great home baking!
